How did JP get to the pub by himself?”

And why he decided to go to the pub, rather than James' house, or resturant, go to the 1 place that he doesnt own

I hope this happens, really don't want poor Nesta to endure another violent relationship... I don't understand why James was so eager to say that it was him though. I know he's a mummy's boy but still! I did find it odd though how Mac immediately took on James the second he came through the door. He didn't even look shocked, just pure rage instantly

Mac shouted :" You're not son of mine!" Is it possible James is result of affair? Perhaps Mac didn't like James being gay? Mac hitting James recalled me Brendan and his father scene. Brandan was grown up, strong, bad man, but still scared of his "dad".

Cos he knows if Mac knew it was Morticia he wouldnt get back with her, and his mum really wants him back

Im assuming Mac used to beat james a lot as he hit him in the stomach where it wouldnt show a bruise

I remember him as Pete Callan in family affairs. He played a good villain.

As for the episode jeez Mac has lost his shit. 😮 Poor James. His mum is an emotional abuser and his dad a violent one. I wonder why he saw red though. He just raged when he saw him. Surely it can't be just because he thought James trashed his wedding. Either James isn't really macs son or james did something when he was young, which Mac has never really forgiven him for.

I hope it's not that James is not biologically Mac's son, cos it would be boring and uninspired. And I hope it's not sexual abuse, we have had too much of that on soaps lately.

Remember when James told JP about his cat who died what if Mac killed the cat (I'm a remembering correctly)

Part of me thinks there was a child between James and nathan and something happened to him

I hope its just that Mac used to get drunk and beat James up

Both scenarios are completely uninspired. 😔

I find weird James gave JP money. Why he didn't try to call him first or something? Giving money like that really looked like bribing JP back into his good books.

AS James keeps repeating, he is "not good at stuff like this". He is emotionally stunted and closed off, it was probably the only way he could think of to try and make things ok with JP.

Also, he is used to solving problems by throwing money around.

How do you phone someone you told that you split them from their partner for £1, hes used to using money to fix everything, and he clearly wanted to see JP when he went to the house, could have just posted it

Well, I guess. I still think is weird.
I wonder if Warren and Maxine reconcile and become item again, real one this time. Sienna is behind bars, Adam backed off, Maxine is pregnant with Warren's baby- and stupid enough forgive and forget.

He wants to pay for a treatment in that eye clinic, I think.

Don't just Morticia and James know how to push Mac's buttons. Though it's still him being violent. I think James said he was taking care of his siblings, perhaps part of that was diverting their father's attention from them to himself.

And then it will come out it is Adam's baby after all. But if they find out because they will need a transfusion of a rare blood group for the baby I am going to kick my TV in the face

I thought the same - and do you really need to put speculations in spoiler tags?

I think the James and Mac storyline could be amazing if done right. James, the super charming manipulative strong young man. Mac the local friend/landlord. I think it explains a lot of James. Maybe Marnie protected James from Mac and also James from the other kids?
Whilst others compare it to Sienna and Patrick, Sienna was obviously disturbed and we got that back story. James is strong and hard, it's very different.
I think this will play out well. Although I don't understand how Mrs panto would still be in love with an abuser... Can't see her standing for that

she seems obsessed, but it could be because he rejected her not the other way around

I didn't like the Mac we saw tonight: a very nasty person which I think will be developed over the coming months and it will tear the family apart
