Alfie and Jade best couple seen in awhile would be great if they with each for a long time and nothing happends to them.

Shocking to see James get beat up by his dad, if he learned Marine did it would he beat her up. Indeed Neeta needs to get away from Mac before it turns into another Patrick/Maxine dragged out story.

I think she will die, as they always planned for one not to make it

Not sure what cancer Jade has but what if she needs bone marrow from a family member to save her, Lisa gives Jade her bone marrow to live and Lisa dies helping Jade.

Wonder if they explain or show flash backs to Why Mac got his violent anger from.

James is doing it for Morticia. He stayed behind to have this confrontation with Mac. He knew Mac would not need much to blow up. When Neeta finds out she'll dump him for good, because now he beat up his own family.

Alfie, Nathan and Ellie going to be shocked their father beaten up their brother James and Marine shocked to. James can have his dad arrested for the awful beating. Cindy will not want Alfie around Mac with his anger going off any time.

I very much doubt any of them will find out - James won't report it. It clearly wasn't the first time Mac has beaten James up, I'd say it was a regular occurance when he was a child and I very much dount his siblings know. If James hasn't spoken up before, why will he now?

And yes, he's doing it to protect his Mother. The parent he feels has always loved and wanted him, unlike his Dad. Even though what Marnie does to him is borderline abuse as well, and she has probably done it since he was a little boy.

What a powerful episode. I feel so sorry for poor Jade. She is such a lovely character and how refreshing for Hollyoaks to have a teen character like her and Alfie who is adorable. I hope she is not ill again.

You have to feel sorry for James. Unwanted by his father, manipulated by his mother, no wonder he has so many defences built around him. I've a feeling Mac never accepted him and might have tried in the past to beat his homosexuality out of him, who knows? All I know is, I hope Neeta changes her mind and jilts him.

This is def giving an insight into why the lovely James is the way he is with people.

I didnt like then when they joined but the nightingales have been good for the show, Jade and Alfie such a sweet pairing, not rushing into sex or child pregnancy, just dating and sweet and being geeky its lovely

Neeta didnt like her at the start but you can see her influence on Ellie, her kindness has made Ellie less cruel or she could be another Morticia

Nathan became interesting when his GF died, he became conflicted and a little cruel, where you could see his parents in him, hes kind and sweet and cares deeply for his family

Mac I dont like but again an interesting character all smiles and kindness in his public persona, moral and doing the right thing, behind closed doors violent and cruel ad controlling

Ellie at first I thought she was your typical pretty girl, shallow and cruel, but shes starting to show shes hurt from losing her darling mother, and a pawn in the mind games of her parents, wants her mothers love and affection which both parents use as a stick to beat each other with, wants to do the right thing is scared of how her parents will react

James cold, cruel and driven to get what he wants, and hurt everyone around him, does anything for his mother even if he doesnt think its right (didnt seem to care much for the hutch just went for it for her), has a poor relationship with his father, is very broken

Morticia we dont know her back story, but is cruel and self obsessed, clearly hurt and obsessed with the fact that Mac rejected her, and wants him back because of that (Im not sure she really wants him think she doesnt like that rejection). She shaped her Eldest son into her perfect man, well dressed, good job, rich, good taste, loyal to her, wont ever leave because shes programmed him to be what she wants unable to love anyone other than her

Alfie oddly untouched by the twisted family, adoreable and geeky, hes sweet and kind and speaks his him, unlucky to have cindy as a mother, clearly Morticia made him feel not part of the family as he was adopted and celebrated his adoption day and seemed unsure the family wanted him

The Nightingales are one of the best families in the soap.

What is interesting that Nathan and Ellie know nothing about the violent side of their father while Morticia and James know everything. I think Morticia wanted to protect the children and redirected his violence on her, James saw Mac hurting her and decided to protect her. So then she probably got mostly verbal abuse thinking he mellowed a bit, while James got most of the beating. I don't think Morticia knew about that part. She would have killed him.

They do know about his violent side, when Moticia sent Mac the picture of Neeta and Hairdresser from Ellies Phone, Ellie was panicked saying hes been drinking you know what that means, while Mac beat the hair dresser

Hello everyone, I've just caught up with Hollyoaks and now I'm up to date I enjoyed POV week especially the Sienna episode!

There goes my theory then Not sure if they know that he was violent towards their brother and mother though.

They blamed it on him drinking whiskey and Morticia triggering it as she gave him the drink, and Ellie shouted you know what that does to him

I hope the rest of the family dont know, I hope even Morticia doesnt know
