Does anyone else wish that the new exec was focusing more on Sarah than Maria. I could imagine her being the show's new leading lady but Maria is just falling flat at being front and centre.

No!! Sarah had a lengthy run in the spotlight & will do again!! Maria is enjoying her first decent storyline in three years & is doing absolutely fine with it!!

I thought Samia was very good tonight and it's always nice to see her out of Maria's usual dowdy wardrobe. Caz is awful but I can live with her as long as she is a short term character.

The Platts helped elevate these episodes as per. Such a watchable, believable family unit with such history. The best in soap land. It's just a shame that they tend to disappear for weeks. David was on fire tonight and the best thing to come from Kylie's death is the return of Gail.

I liked Rita and Norris popping up to provide some wit and wisdom as well as interacting with characters outside their age range. The character interaction has improved but the merry go round of relationships is very tedious. Maybe it's just too much relationship based drama? I feel the foundations are being laid but I'd like some axings (which are well overdue) and new blood.

Steph threatening Maria was music to my ears. Luke should stay well clear of her she's high maintenance.

P*ss off, Sean, you self-pitying, whining git.
Unprovoked attack on the ever popular Sean Part 1

Nice to see Norris going for something different.
He asked for a mohican

David was cutting the non-existant hair on top of his head!
Since when has Platt been allowed near scissors

Is David the new Corrie hunk. He's got his top off again
Mr Puniverse had a little pot belly

Does Joanna Lumley never go on holiday without a film crew in tow?
That would mean that she would have to pay

Craig's a big lad. I reckon he must weigh at least half an Eileen.
I do prefer imperial

The irony of the scene in the hairdressers is that David looks younger than Lauren.
Lauren should have given Platt a beating. It would not have been difficult

P*ss off, Sean, you selfish, vindictive, vile, irritating oxygen thief.
Unprovoked attack on the ever popular Sean Part 2

Was that the first time any hair has actually been cut off in the salon?
Platt demonstrated the extent of his ability

Can David use his scissors on Phelans Bollocks
Good choice
I love David Platt
But why ?????????????

I wonder if Jack P Shepherd really did cut her hair.
It would be a first if he did

She wouldn't be allowed in the car with the accused! They could work on their story together!
Corrie can't afford to hire proper Police

And if bus drivers leave early, you're allowed to shoot them.
I always got to the bus stop early !!!!!

Maria is going to turn
but she didn't

I agree about character interaction, I think that's improved, lots more characters talking to a range of different ones.

I suppose the Phelan storyline isn't relationship based? Or maybe a bit...

I thought Rita was going to ask for Luke's number there. He is the new James Bond.
Luke looked tasty in that tux.

Lauren deserved that!
She did after laughing at Bethany's aunt having been murdered in front of her widowed husband.

I think it's Audrey who wants Luke as a toyboy.

Maria's bare back, gasp, how raunchy.
This was filmed and screened deliberately for people who wish they could see the back of Maria.
