I'll try and get there for 3am. I don't want to miss the opportunity to get in.

Yes the entrance is further down the studios not next to Tescos (where you queue for BB) there is a car park down the opposite road that was 12 quid for all day and night.

For Halloween Last year I arrived at 4am and was about 50th in the queue. The earliest was midnight.

The vast majority arrive around 6-7am.

Once you get your stamp you go off and do what you like. We had dinner and then got dressed in the toilets 😂😂 which meant we could wear Scruffs for queuing.

You do get let in in order of group so 20 ish at a time.

I don't know if Halloween is more popular for production guests but I was in the second group let in and we were sitting about 7 rows back just to the left of the judges, I couldn't believe how bad the seats were for the second group in. If you aren't interested in being seen on TV and want to just see a great show I think the view would be better on the balcony but not sure how you'd engineer getting up there as its all based on numbers, the balcony is the last area they fill.

The only guaranteed amazing view is to be in numbers 1-24 as this group sits facing the band (same view as the TV audience) and this is why people queue so early.

Even without a great view it is still a fab experience. I just expected that with such an early number i'd have had a better view.

Have an amazing time xx

Thanks for the info!

I'm not bothered about being on TV, I just want a decent view.

Thank-you. x

Hi, that's great news-it's good to hear that someone has been successful, as i know quite a few people who have been disappointed in the past when they haven't been able to get tickets.
Have a fab time and don't forget about all of us here waiting to hear about your great night 😀

Do you have to queue up with your plus one or can your plus one just turn up in time for when they start validating the tickets?

It's one sticker per person. Pretty positive you wouldn't be able to reserve a sticker.

Edit sorry misread- when I went, someone did do this, their partner came along later but before validation. Didn't have a problem with this at all myself as we'd all started chatting and getting friendly, in the queue so we were well aware it was going to happen, (Also I dropped my friend off at the queue and then went to park so we did it too albeit for a very short time) but if you do do this I'd say make sure people around you are aware, so you don't annoy people. Everyone is always so excited and lovely anyway, but I can imagine if everyone was doing it people could get a bit tetchy.

Thanks for the advice.

I want to get to Elstree really early, but I'm dragging my sister along with me to the show, and I don't want to make her queue up early if she doesn't have to. She doesn't watch Strictly.

I went a couple of years ago and both of us had to be present to be validated - the BBC crew who were milling around the que made quite a point of telling us we both had to be there to be validated - which was fine - me and my friend were not going anywhere until we had that sticker!!!!!!! you can come and go from the que as much as you liked as long as we were both there at the vital time

that was when validation time was 12pm tho so I have no idea if its changed now

I wouldnt have thought so tho

have a wonderful time you lucky thing!

I went to the launch show a few weeks ago and I was the only one who queued; my plus one turned up later in the day, and that's perfectly fine. As long as you've got two valid tickets on you, they don't mind who's there to have them validated.

I was on the balcony when I went a couple of years ago and agree, the view was great, plus we were right next to the Clauditorium at the top of the stairs so we could see what was going on in there too, plus all of the comings and goings, very exciting! We were 300 and something in the queue - we didn't get there until about 9, but as BMLisa has said, very difficult to engineer.
