Really pleased it's looking like just a break, Jay is one of my favourite character's I've got a feeling Ben donating part of his liver to Phil won't work out and it will be Jay that will help this then cementing him firmly as a Mitchell in their eyes.

I find Jay and Ben's relationship very intense, there very touchy feely. I hate when they try to be wannabe hard men and keep referring to each other as brothers every episode.
I think Jay would be a lot more likable away from the Mitchell's and star to build relationships with other characters.

This coincides with the actor posting holiday pictures for a lot of July.
He said at the end of his hols about going back to filming. If it was a shock exit, they'd surely have said by now, they're probably just after keeping his return a "surprise" to most fans

The actor may well want to come back but I see no reason why Jay would want to come back.

I agree, Jay is my prefered(is there two fs in that?) character. He has perfect facial expressions, he can bring smiles or concern
Let us hope Phil will give him some understanding bit silly all against him when even the publican thought she was older,
Jay may even marry her when she ages legit.

The lad who plays Jay is quite a good actor. It would be a shame if Jay got written out permanently.

Exactly. His reasons for going IE not being welcomed anywhere or by anyone to the degree he has nowhere to live and cannot work makes perfect sense BUT how and why would he ever return
The only way he could return is if Phil relents as he seems to be the driving force behind him being so unwelcome and jobless. If Phil dies and Ben takes over the Mitchell business empire then perhaps Jay would return but to be honest even then it would be a SOR. I mean would anyone want to return to a place and people that had treated them so shoddily
By the way isn't he supposed to be going to live with his Grandad? That is what I thought he suggested.
