take me home is a pretty perfect album for a boyband and made in the a.m is their most mature album. under my skin is far and away avril lavigne's best album. neither of justin bieber's belong on that list. shania twain changed the face of country music forever when she released come on over. britney's greatest hits is the epitome of perfect 90's/00's pop music. justified was a great album also. didn't know hanson had a second song let alone a whole "collection" and finally, any worst album list that has a prince album on it is automatically void.

No mention of Be Here Now. Surprising.

I understand it is being re-worked though.

Yes they say it'll sound more melodic and less heavy and loud,

Be Here Now was clearly flawed, but it was disappointing rather than outright bad. There are some songs there that stand the test of time - All Around the World especially, but also Stand By me and Magie Pie.

Standing on the Shoulder of Giants was absolute sh*te though and deserves to be in such a list - even if F**king in the bushes was great in 'Snatch'.

Fellas, this list has "American Idiot" by Green Day - easily one of the most influential and important rock albums of the last 20 years - classified as one of the worst albus of all time, therefore you can totally disregard the list, because that is objectively incorrect.
I agree, American Idiot is a fantastic album and completely invalidates this list.

Besides, I feel like it's been compiled based on the fact that whoever's helped put it together doesn't like certain artists. I think Justin Bieber is a prick as much as anyone, but 'Purpose' was a very good album.

Be Here Now certainly isn't a bad album. In fact it's probably Oasis ' third best. As you say it was just such a huge disappointment after loads of critics had labeled it the greatest album ever made purely based on how big Oasis were at the time. At Melody Maker around that time, journalists were actually banned from criticising Oasis at all. Ridiculous

PUMP does not belong on that list
Agree, it's a ridiculous inclusion!

Seriously?? Hanson have made some great Pop songs along the years! You should check them out a bit more.

Be Here Now contains one of my favourite Oasis tracks, I Hope, I Think, I Know.

"deaf dumb blind" by clawfinger has to be a contender - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=37UzPmSGXKk

I bought the cassette as a teenager on the strength of it's cover (I know, I know, but it had worked out well in the past, Ween's "Chocolate and Cheese" - looking a little medicated here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zzYykIA1xVg and The Wonder Stuff's "Never loved elvis" - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V4NW5S1UTPQ )

I kid ye not, these are the genuine lyrics to one of the songs. The last line being the only one that makes sense.

"I know you know I know you know
What is the truth what is the truth who knows
You know she knows they know we know
What is the truth what is the truth who knows
I do do you will you won't you
What is the truth what is the truth to you
Will you won't you do you don't you
What is a lie gave it a try won't you I know nothing you don't know
Don't get me wrong don't get me wrong
Don't get me
Love me shove me kiss me hug me
What is my love what is my love tell me
F*ck me kick me suck me hit me
What is a f*ck what is a f*ck tell me
Take it shake it bend it break it
What is my life what is my life take it
Thrill me kill me fill me make it
What is the truth what is the truth fake it
See me be me hear me fear me
What is the truth is the truth near me
School me fool me rule me drool me
What is the truth what is the truth fool me
Can you can't you do you don't you
Hear my reply don't ask me why will you
Help me leave me feed me bleed me
Need me to lie what is a lie tell me
I know nothing.....
I know you know I know you know
What is the truth what is the truth who knows
He knows she knows they know we know
What is the truth what is the truth who knows
I do do you will you won't you
What is the truth is the truth to you
Will you won't you do you don't you
What is a lie give it a try won't you
I know nothing....."

Also from a song called "the truth"

"tell me the truth
the truth, motherf*cker
the truth, tell me the truth
the truth, you sucker"

and from "rosegrove"

"Do this
Do that
Come here
You tw*t"

The music is pretty funky mind, it still got a fair few spins

David Bowie's '80s albums "Tonight" and "Never Let Me Down" would have to be contenders. When even the darling of rock critics Bowie was getting completely panned, you know things are up. A period of Bowie's career conveniently glossed over in most of the obituaries.

Yes, Come On Over sold 30 million world-wide, one of the best-sellers ever and the biggest album by a female.
You've obviously never heard Noel Gallagher's famous line "Just because you sell lots of records it doesn't mean to say you're any good. Look at Phil Collins."

didn't be here now have a television special dedicated to it's release, I remember it being one of the most hyped records ever, it's no wonder everyone ended up disappointed, even a very good album would have been a let down ?

What they should have done is gotten some journalists who write smart and funny takedowns of poor-quality popular culture (Charlie Brooker? Nathan Rabin?) and have them compile a list of what they considered the worst music albums ever. That would have been more interesting than just having a bunch of people phone/email in and say "I hate this album".

This is how you do a "worst albums ever" piece:

Also, how about the albums by Abba rip-off Brotherhood of Man?
Whilst not defending how crap they were, how could Brotherhood of Man (formed 1969) be a rip off of ABBA (formed 1972)?

Well, there were several incarnations of BoM. And I believe (correct me if I'm wrong)
that the 1973 BoM lineup of Martin Lee, Lee Sheriden, Sandra Stevens and Nicky Stevens decided to model their sound on that of ABBA after the latter band became successful in 1974.
