Inspired by something a poster mentioned on the worst albums of all time thread. Which albums by your favourite artists are your least favourite?

Mine would be:

Britney Spears - Britney Jean
Sugababes - Catfights and Spotlights
Lady Gaga - Artpop
The Saturdays - Wordshaker (not a bad album as such, just a bit boring)
Pixie Lott - Young, Foolish, Happy

Bedtime Stories - Madonna. Didn't like it on first listen apart from Don't Stop and Take A Bow and grew to hate the album, I was crushed the day it came out and thought that was her end. I was wrong and 3.5 years later Ray Of Light appeared and what an album that is.

Real - Belinda Carlisle. Shame Belinda dumped her writing team in favour of her own team, the songs were not good.

M.Y.O.B. - Debbie Gibson. Just rubbish.

Other People's Songs - Erasure, other than lead single Solsbury Hill the rest are embarrassingly bad.

Let's Get To It - Kylie, although I don't hate any Kylie album I don't really love any either, this one is my least liked, poor singles.

Magic Hour - Scissor Sisters, the magic had gone, I like Only The Horses and Kiki but the rest not so much.

Wanderlust - Sophie Ellis-Bextor, it just wasn't the Sophie I loved.

Red - T'Pau, Carol should have left it alone.

Britney Spears- Britney JeAn: Promoted as her most personal but it's utterly impersonal, derivative and bland. It has three out of 13 songs that can be considered good, the rest is bland anonymous dance pop. It's just dirge really.

Kate Bush- 50 Words For Snow: over long, self indulgent and boring. I see what she was going for the slow languid feel matches winter, but it's a trek to listen too. And most if all its utterly, tear inducingly, mind numbingly boring.

Mariah Carey- Rainbow: it's just naff with few standouts, smacked of contract filling.

Britney Spears - Britney Jean, utter trash, no personality, devoid of any passion, over-use of autotune, terrible executive producer, she didn't even sing lead on all of it and the songs themselves are just on the whole, rubbish. All copies of this terrible album must immediately be taken to landfill sites and burnt to ash.

I Am Sasha Fierce by Beyonce is her worst by a clear mile.

Delirium by Ellie Goulding was alright but still a disappointing change in direction.

The Pogues - Peace and Love

I think their first three albums are great, but this was such a disappointment, and I didn't bother with any of their subsequent albums.

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers - Let Me Up (I've Had Enough)

I'd already bought and loved Full Moon Fever and Damn the Torpedoes. Then I bought this, and despite giving it a few listens, realised I didn't like any of the songs on it.

Judas Priest - Rocka Rolla

Their first album, and the worst of the Halford vocal albums I've bought (I don't care about the Ripper Owens efforts). Even worse than Ram It Down.

I assume you're not including Entreat in that, as it's just the live version of the same album. Surely Wish can't be dismissed as easily as that?

Did you miss out on album simply called The Cure (2004)? It wasn't a wise choice of opening track, but there are some very good ones on it. Part of the problem post-Disintegration lies with Robert Smith's terrible production. Many songs which sound excellent live sound absolutely horrible in their original album versions.

For instance:
Jupiter Crash
The Hungry Ghost
Sleep When I'm Dead
A Letter To Elise
Want (not terrible on the album but so much better live)

I love The Cardigans, but Emmerdale, Life and First Band on the Moon are unlistenable as far as I'm concerned.

Madonna- American Life.

Just can't get into this album. Never play anything from it.
Just don't like the sound of it, sounds too accoustic for me.

Also Rebel Heart comes close too.

That's a bit extreme! It's not a great album and is my least favourite Britney one but it's not all that bad either. There are a couple of decent songs on it.

The Final Cut by Pink Floyd, 1983.

It was their fist album after the acrimonious split when Roger Waters left the band. The album was really Roger Waters doing his own thing with very little help from the others and I've never liked it.

Once A Momentary Lapse of Reason came out in 1987 I was heartened to find that the old Floyd sound had returned, even though Waters was no longer a part of it.

Rihanna - ANTI
Madonna - Rebel Heart
Michael Jackson - Invinsible

They all have one thing in common. More emphasis on the production of the tracks, less emphasis on the actual songs. All three albums contained just one song I actually liked (Love On The Brain, Ghosttown, You Rock My World) whilst most of the album was a car crash of sounds.

Avril Lavigne's self-titled 5th album was a huge disappointment for me personally. It was good that she tried a few different things, but unfortunately they were awful! And some of the other tracks were very 'Avril by numbers' but not a patch on her earlier stuff. Such a shame as her previous effort Goodbye Lullaby was brilliant!

I didn't rate Coldplay's Mylo Xyloto much either - some good tracks but overall it felt too poppy and the production was way too polished. It put me off the band for a while but I do like their newest album much more!

Surprised it hasn't been mentioned yet, but Radiohead-Pablo Honey. Decent album in it's own right, but when held up against the rest of their back catalogue there's a massive gulf between it and number 6; The King of Limbs.

Britney Spears - Britney Jean. Think I speak for everyone on that

P!nk - Cant Take Me Home. Only P!nk album I cant name more than 3 or 4 songs on

Jessie J - Sweet Talker. I do like the album but it wasn't as catchy as Who You Are and Alive

In my opinion if you love your favorite enough, you won't have an answer for this kind of question.

God bless you always!!!

It's what separates a fan from a fanatic, you can admit your favorite artist has flaws and not everything they do is perfection.

For me personally I don't like anything of The Beatles they released prior to Rubber Soul and not much of a fan of Abbey Road either.

The Saturdays-'Living for the weekend' (Too much Mollie and not enough Rochelle and Frankie)

Britney Spears-'Glory' (songs like 'Clumsy' and 'Private Show' have been ruined with awful vocals and not many tracks stand out

Christina Aguilera-'Bionic'-awful, mostly about sex.

There are other artist, but too many to mention.
