It was featured on The X Factor trailers for this year so may have been then?
OK, it must have been that then but I had the strongest feeling that I'd heard it before....

I'm now just hoping that the man doesn't get past the boot camp stage!

No offence but I don't think the X Factor has ever had singers like that. It's pretty explicitly a show based around the concept of finding a pop singer to sign to Simon Cowell's record label Syco, which is pretty much as middle-of-the-road pop as it gets.

They're not going to let people like the above progress very far in the competition because then they'd be lumbered with someone they can't do anything for.
You're telling me that the show can't have acts on that are similar to Damien Rice, Hozier, The Weeknd, Years & Years, and Drake? None of them are out of reach imo from what Simon could give them if he actually studied away from the Whitney songbook.

Kinda too early to judge, I thought the most entertaining part was letting that guy be a judge for 1 audition, should have been longer! The fact Sharon sat so far away from him put me off her aswell, yeah he was a big fat sweaty looking dude but cmon Sharon, show us your one of the people too. I loved that proposal and the group itself, sure they are not the best singers but they are very likeable and as I have said 10000 times the Xfactor does not mean "talent" it means that 1 thing you can't put your finger on but you seem to like and I liked them, for some strange reason I also liked the Friday night guy lol

I agree it doesn't always have to be about the best singer but someone you know has likeability and can perform well and will have everyone talking about them for a while as you say you just can't put your finger on it but you know the person is good at what they do.

As for the Friday night song it had everyone dancing. I know it is a novelty act but didn't that guy say he was Swedish now that Avicci has retired it is time for a new type of DJ. Sharon isn't the same on this series it as if she is afraid to say anything and I noticed how she sometimes put the papers up to her face. Usually her and Louis start messing about unless they have been warned for this series to keep it professional

The problem with the Friday Night guy was that there was no effort to sing.

She doesn't mix with the little people now.

(I think she moved because he was sweaty possibly smelly?)
It looked awful. Perhaps she should have sprayed him.
