no, elderly abuse has been done already.

I'd like to see a character get a job as a carer, and follow them around seeing some of the things they put up with. No health and safety etc as its inside a persons home. All the issues they have to face, giving people a choice, personal care, learning disabilities person being over 18 and exploited by friends, taking people out for activities while being under paid and working 7am - 10pm. On EE they have Janet, Sylvia, and Jane.

I didn't put it down - I stated it had been done and then spun a different side of your idea - from the carers perspective rather than the elderly. Yours was a good idea and different aspects of it should be explored more!

Pregnancy as a result of sleeping with Phil Mitchell. I think the world needs to know that he's a menace.

Good. I still think something happened to him in London that explains why he changed so much. This should be explored and could be issue-led.

I think that Chemsex would be good for Eastenders - especially if Johnny ends up caught in that world, it would make a very interesting story and Linda's reaction to it would be pretty interesting. Anorexia would also be an interesting topic to cover - perhaps for a new character. I'd also like to see schizophrenia covered again - I know they covered it with Joe Wicks back in the 90s but there's still a lot of misconceptions about it.

Unrequited love and suicide.

In soaps, tv and films the guy always eventually gets his woman and vice versa.

But unfortunately real life is not like that - some poor buggers suffer it time and time again.

It's hard to think of which character would be suitable for this but it can happen to anyone of any age.

Time to pull the trigger:

AUTISM !!!! Stop dodging the issue and give us a believable character with Aspergers or Autism !!

More people get diagnosed in the uk now each year then diabetes ! Yet none of tv soaps even have one character? It doesn't reflect society we have more Asian characters which I know reflects the UK but autism should be represented too ! Tired of it

Early menopause.
A young character having to come to terms she will never be a mother. Coping with those around her having children etc.

Diabulimia.
A diabetic character misusing their insulin in a bid to lose weight.

are there any diabetic characters in soap? Paul "the hair" Coker was I think but they never explored it

I think the early menopause or a struggle to get pregnant would be a good long term storyline to have

Kerry in Emmerdale is the only one I can think of at present. There was a brief storyline about her diabetes being out of control and her temporarily losing her sight, but a diabulimia storyline would be a different kettle of fish from poorly controlled diabetes from poor lifestyle choices.

Someone like Victoria in Emmerdale could be a good candidate for an early menopause storyline I think.

They did early menopause with Nicola but they could certainly have done more.

The issue is probably something to do with learning when to keep your mouth shut or you'll end up with an appearing and disappearing stomach churning scar on your face. A lesson he still hasn't learned.

True, but Nicola was already blessed with one child. I would have it affecting someone with no children who had believed they had all the time in the world left.

Suicide because of bullying.

It would be believable as it does happen.
