Anyone else just tired of the whole "Journey" and audition process?

I tried to give X Factor a go tonight but only lasted 10mins. Its just so fake and boring now I can always tell what is going to happen.

I think I'll just wait till live shows again for this year.

The last time I watched a series all way through was the Matt Cardle year.

I much prefer the live shows although some moments of auditions this year have been funny.

Yep. Come on, tell us your name, sing a song, get through or not and get off. No one cares about your dead goldfish or how this is all you've wanted your whole life - especially if you're about 12!

I like the show. It may string most of it's greatest auditionees along, but they still get a considerable boost in exposure and opportunities,, and the show can be a great platform for acts that are capable of success but haven't had a break yet. The promotion and journey segments are part of what makes it a show instead of a talent competition.

I didn't watch the auditions last year due to the dire judges, and just patiently waited for the live shows to come round, although this year I decided to go bold and watch from the very start, all because of Nicole......

and now I wonder even if Nicole is worth sitting there for an hour, whilst my toes clench and unclench with the cringyness of it all!

My worst gripe to date has to be when the camera pans on random people in the audience as they're just about to say their rehearsed line .........

I now have to look away when this happens as it's just too bloody tedious

The makeovers and the live shows are the best bit. I'm glad they don't audition in front of the big audience anymore; that always used to destroy the journey of the acts moving from small to bigger and bigger stages for me.
