I guarantee this happens in the UK too as many McDonalds restaurants in Britain are franchise operations just like here in Ireland.

Cut to the chase, cup of large cappuccino coffee in one
Dublin McDonalds restaurant: 2. 70 EUR and in another two miles away: 2. 30 EUR

That is a big percentage difference, be careful everyone, we are getting ripped off.

No you're not. They are exactly that.... franchises. Like any other shop. You go in, see prices clearly displayed on the menu. Decide if you want to buy or not, if yes...pay money.... get drink.. If not... don't pay money... don't get drink... go elsewhere.

I f I remember Dublin correctly they have lots of shops where you can buy a coffee.

Where's the rip off there?

Who exactly is ripping you off? Perhaps one is owned by a large company that can afford lower prices due to economies of scale?

Wow, hilarious British and Irish reticence about talking about "vulgar money issues".

Walterwhite, you are correct at least, the lower price for the coffee was in the McDonald's- owned busiest restaurant in Ireland on Grafton Street, the other restaurant was franchise-owned premises.

Well there you go, that more than explains the price difference doesn't it?
