This!! And even more, John Paul/Scott. What the hell.

And also, having JP sleep with his cousin's husband behind her back just for a fling, not even out of love. I hated that.

*shudders* They are the worst pairing. Even worse than Ste and Harry, although I don't have any love for them either.

Do you mean Lockie? Sorry, I missed some of the episodes around that time

Yes, at one point Lockie was sleeping with JP, Mercedes and Porsche

Yeah, Lockie. It almost ruined JP's character completely for me...but then, seeing him in that horror show with Orange made me almost revaluate JP's tryst with Lockie as a good thing!! There is always something worse! hahaha

I know Peter's returning but I think that ship's well and truly sailed.”

That was definitely a bad one!!!!

The other one I really loathed was Frankie & Jamie Baldwin having an affair, it meant the Baldwins could never ever reunite as a family & was a step too far imo!!

Alien kidnapping Colby's/Dynasty 👽
Dallas Ignoring a whole season & Bobby alive in the shower 👦🏻🚿 - Both American soaps jumping the shark.🏄

Recasting 14 year old VJ as an adult in Home and Away 💪🏼

Home and Away's Leah's constant traumatic life, coma's, car/plane crashes, Mushroom organ failure 🍄, widowed on numerous occasions!! 💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤

The fairground disaster in EastEnders... 🔮🔮🔮💥🔥💥🔥
Killing off Pat Butcher 💄💄💄 (despite how fantasicly acted it was)

The plague on Brookside 😵 and the last year of storylines.

Hollyoaks obsession with serial killers 💉💉💉 (unwatchable)

Emmerdale is just a joke and haven't watched in years.

Lockie was great, really wanted him to have real feelings for JP, they worked so well together and he was so good for JP

Scott is a horrible Toxic orange mess

Bib. How about you watch and make up your mind rather than depending on what others who at least watch the show say?

I've been critical of Emmerdale lately but as a long time viewer I can say so. If I didn't watch it I wouldn't have any credibility to make such statements

I'm not a regular viewer but have seen enough of it to realise it's still utter, unbelievable rubbish. It hasn't had any credibility IMO for years. I like soaps to have at least a slither of reality in them. Otherwise how do you relate? I can't ever see myself watching Emmerdale again or Hollyoaks to be fair....

I haven't t watched EastEnders and Hollyoaks for a long time, but I would reserve public judgement on them until I watched again. ED can be ridiculous ( in a silly, fun way) but it has its strengths, not least the overall quality of its cast.

I agree with this 100%

Some others are:

Turning Chrissie into a bitch (Emmerdale)
Splitting up Coira (Emmerdale)
Maurel (Emmerdale)

Ste/Sinead (Hollyoaks)
Killing off Trevor (Hollyoaks)

The Nazirs (Coronation Street)

For the US soaps:

ABC canceling All My Children and One Life To Live
Hiring Jill Pharren-Phelps as EP (One Life To Live, General Hospital and The Young and the Restless)
Erica's Unabortion (All My Children)
Killing Will Horton (Days of Our Lives)
Hiring Megan McTavish as Head Writer (All My Children, One Life To Live and General Hospital)

Putting Stuart Blackburn in charge of not one, but two soaps! Who on earth thought this was a good idea?

Emmerdale - splitting up Cain and Moira and having Cain sleep with the rancid Charity thus ensuring Moira will probably never take him back.

Who on earth would want any man after he'd slept with her?

Terrible decision. Moira and Cain love each other and could have sorted their problems out.

Killing off Val in ED. Charlie Hardwicke was consistently brilliant in that role.

Not marrying Fred Elliott & Audrey Roberts in Corrie - they would have made an hilarious senior couple.

Bringing back Bet Lynch - some things are just better left

CS continuing to employ the worst actor in soap history - Jimmi Harkkishan

The 'ghostly wind' in the Rovers signifying Deirdre's presence - just awful and insulting to Anne Kirkbride's memory

The ruining of Madge Bishop in Neighbours. Classic character reduced to nothing by the end.

Introducing the character of 'Lilly' in Emmerdale - pointless and a total waste of Anne Charleston's talent

Brendan's crap exit which was supposed to be 'epic'

Not so much Viv's death in ED (though as a Viv fan I think that alone was a huge loss) but the lack of an onscreen funeral. Whatever problems the producers may have had with Deena Payne, they took it out on the audience by not giving Viv a proper, entertaining sendoff.

I thought this too, she looks like their sister! I know people get older and stay youthful but it just looks odd. Also if my two sons talked about women like those two do, making bets and such like, in front of me, I would be disgusted.

Killing off both Lockie and Trevor.
Not getting rid of awful Nico.
