They were set up on a blind date by Zainab and Tanya back in 2012. The date failed because they basically didnt get on, and Denise was septicaemia about getting with a bloke who had already shagged her daughter. It was basically a plot device for Jack to be a bit lonely, then that start that great big love story with Sharon
