I've been listening to their music a lot recently, they really were brilliant, for me the best group of the 21st century. My favourite lineup was always Mutya, Keisha and Heidi, and I think it's a shame things ended the way they did because those three were great together. I hated how Heidi got essentially thrown under the bus when Keisha got sacked, and how her contribution to the band was dismissed by a lot. A great group nevertheless and some great singles; Overload, Freak Like Me, Stronger, Too Lost In You, Caught In A Moment (they did some great ballads) and Push the Button to name but a few.

I definitely do. I remember they were such a breath of fresh air when most of the pop music in the UK charts was the likes of Atomic Kitten and Steps. It's a shame that there hasn't been a girl group like them since.

I was never a Heidi fan (my favourite lineup was the original one), but I agree her contribution shouldn't be negated. She helped soften the group's image and had an enthusiasm that helped when the group was being interviewed. I do think she brought some of the post-Keisha hate on herself by alluding to the group's problems.

I miss the Heidi/Keisha/Mutya line up same as you. That was the line up people loved and they had the big hit tunes.

Do not like Mutya Keisha Siobhan all they do is lead their 100 fans up the garden path by not admitting to the few who care that they are finished.

I'm a fan of all line-ups, every one added something great to the legacy. They never really had a total dud album, and their singles were mostly all great. Such an incredible group marred by bad press, they should still be producing great music today and it's a total crime that they aren't. I miss them a lot. I can't believe it's been six and a half years since they released an album. I wish the Sugababes 4.0 album that was seemingly done had been released back in 2011 after Freedom.

I don't get why some people seem to dislike Heidi because of Keisha's departure; I don't really see what she did wrong. Keisha has admitted that she was dismissive of Heidi for her first few years in the band, and Mutya allegedly bullied Heidi as well. They may be "close" these days but Siobhan held a very public grudge against Keisha for numerous years and repeatedly cited her as the reason for her own departure. If Keisha acted the same to Amelle as she did Heidi, I don't blame the two of them for refusing to work with her. It's interesting that Mutya came out all defensive of Keisha during this period, when Keisha had been highly dismissive of Mutya after she quit. They may have made great music but I can't imagine the work environment would have been great; the only lineup that actually seemed to get on was 4.0 and even they only lasted two years

MKS diehard fans love nothing more than to slag off Heidi especially her voice particularly at the Popjustice forum which is packed with some really nasty original babe fans.

I do. My favourite lineup was Heidi/Mutya/Keisha. They had some great songs and were totally different to other girl groups of the time. Angels With Dirty Faces is still a decent pop album. I wasn't really a fan of the original lineup.

Heidi is no innocent. They are all to blame in some way or another for the group's demise. It's a shame thing haven't worked out for MKS (so far and probably never). I have to admit even though it was one of their biggest hits, I wasn't a fan of Push the Button. I also really like Follow Me Home (Mutya version) and it was one of their worst performing singles.

Tbf she was when she first joined, the other two disliked her for what they saw as cashing in on their success. Follow Me Home is a lovely track, I love both the Mutya and Amelle versions. Hard to think it was ten years old last month.

I like the Sugababes, versions 1 and 2 in particular. They were the most original and best sounding UK girl group for years and I would listen to their music even now. Mutya and Keisha were/are my favourites, so the Heidi/Siobhan thing is irrelevant. It's irrelevant anyway as it made little difference to the sound.

The MKS thing doesn't seem to have happened. It's a pity. If Little Mix do well on their next album I'm thinking they are catching up.

Yes the Popjustice forum is full of some bitter, nasty types. I personally think Heidi has a great voice, particularly on tracks like Too Lost In You and Caught In A Moment. I don't know how anybody can say she can't sing.

I find it funny that Keisha and Mutya had a problem with Heidi when she first joined, "cashing in on their success"? WHAT SUCCESS? One flop album, 1 top ten single followed by 3 flop singles and a member leaving citing another member for bullying her out. They didn't BECOME a success UNTIL Heidi joined.

This is what I feel as well, I remember Keisha also saying "it was difficult because this stage school girl came in and we had worked so hard". Actually, Keisha only got into the band because of Mutya, as it was the latter and Siobhan signed to the label, and Mutya asked if Keisha could join. Some would argue that Heidi came along at the right time and simply got lucky, but I think she did a lot more than that. She bought an edge to the group, and a lot of personality, and they were at their peak for me during 2.0.

Heidi did bring something to the group, but I honestly don't think her contribution was as large as Keisha and Mutya's. That's just my personal opinion.

One Touch wasn't a massive success, but it did go gold. New Year and Run for Cover didn't go top 10 but had fairly healthy chart runs. Also, Siobhan has said more than once she left due to depression and not bullying. Most importantly the Sugababes were liked by the critics and had a perceived credibility and certain coolness about them. I'm sure this along with the early moderate success helped them get resigned.

Keisha was definitely a big factor in why Siobhan left

For me personally I think Heidi had an equal contribution to the group. Heidi actually worked on three more albums than Mutya and an equal amount to Keisha. I can't see what they did that she didn't, other than that they were original members. Heidi was actually in the band longer than Mutya.

I think Heidi played a part in them getting resigned, because for me she brought something to the group that Siobhan didn't; I can't put my finger on it but I think Heidi brought an edge to the group. I found Siobhan better as a solo artist. I wouldn't be surprised if the MKS thing hasn't progressed because there's been another fallout. I always found it very surprising that Siobhan bashed Keisha for several years in the media, then they have a reunion and Keisha even attends Siobhan's wedding. Very confusing.

To be fair, I think it was cashing in on their hard work since the age of 13 Mutya had a problem with rather than success. I'm not sure Keisha ever actually had a problem with Heidi either, I think it was loyalty to Mutya and the friendship they had before Heidi. It's funny how by the time Mutya left, it was her and Heidi who were closer and Keisha went in on Mutya after she left (revealing Mutya hadn't actually written anything on TIMW except Follow Me Home but they gave her credit anyway) and a really awkward Popworld interview just after Amelle joined (I miss Popworld with Simon and Miquita too) where they were asked what the group was missing now Mutya had left and K+H just kind of blankly looked at each other until one of the hosts came up with a suggestion.

Back to the topic, I do miss the Sugababes. A brilliant pop group with fantastic singles and album tracks. Each member brought something and I think Sweet 7 wasn't half as bad as was made out. I also think a hell of a lot of people stating the album wouldn't have happened if an original was there forgot or chose to ignore that Keisha recorded all but one song on the album and it was ready to be released a couple months after she left.

Freedom was a great song (the piano version on Soundcloud was even better) and I wish they could have stuck it out to release that album.

Heidi brought a bloody smile. There was finally a relatable member and not just three moody teenagers shooting daggers into a camera for 3 minutes.

To be fair, if you trust what a Sugababe says about her time in the group at any point you're screwed. Siobhan maintained for years that Keisha bullied her. The story of the Sugababes changes depending on which three girls are stood in a line together (and that's a criticism of all members, probably with the exception of Jade who just came in at a really shitty time)

How come every 'discussion' about the Sugababes legacy degenerates into a tit for tat about who bullied who and whether Heidi could sing? It may have been worth noting the first time but with the signs up that there will be no more Sugabsbes music., it's maybe about time we actually discussed the legacy.
