4K TV with HDR for £800?

I have a Pioneer Kuro plasma which is 9 years old. The pictures quality is amazing. It last week it switched itself off a few times and came back on. This morning, it switched off and won't come back on at all.

I now feel it's time to upgrade to 4K & HDR. I know there's little 4K content available just now but I'm getting a Xbox One Slim which has 4K bluray & HDR support & a PS4 which will offer HDR 10 support in an upcoming update.

Any recommendations on one which is good for gaming & fast motion with sports etc? My livingroom is quite small. We have a 50" TV just now & I think anything much bigger would be too big

I have the LG OLED 4k that replaced a LG Plasma and I'm very happy with it. They do a 4k LED tv, but unfortunately you've been spoilt by your Kuro, I don't think you'll find that level of blacks without going OLED

Hi

I don't know if you're still looking. 800 quid was about my budget, and after endless research, finally plumped for this Panasonic.also a 50" which seems to be in the ballpark of what you're seeking.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

There's a 40, 50 and 58 inch in this range. Presently the 50 is £699. Whether you want to buy from Amazon though..? Panasonic don't extend their 5 year guarantee to certain online retailers - including Amazon. Just the woeful 1 year warranty. I know this model is available elsewhere, maybe a few quid more - but probably worth it for that 5 year warranty.

I'm an impatient turnip, and bought it from...yup, Amazon. It's an exceedingly good 50 inch set, and the Freeplay on it is superb and real quick for things on demand - including Youtube. The Youtube 4k content is truely awesome as well, and there's little wrong with this unit.

Anyways..good luck with your final choice..if not already made !
