That will ruin it.
Can anyone name programmes that have left the BBC and gone elsewhere that haven't got worse as a result? |

Very disappointed to hear this and I bet the BBC is bitterly disappointed.

I know this would alienate a lot of viewers, but I would rather Sky have it, than it maybe end. Up on Channel 4 or 5.
Cant see ITV going for it, it isn't very ITV type show |

What else does the BBC have that's worth paying the license fee for. One of the best shows the BBC had.

This seems to be a production company that has got greedy and knew they had the BBC over a barrel. I'm glad the BBC told them to sod off instead of just paying whatever overinflated fee they were demanding. It's a shame to see it leave the BBC though. I won't bother watching it on any other channel and I'm sure I'm not the only one. It won't be the same. |

But the Bake-Off will not be the same on a commercial channel. If they want to make it less noticeable, there would have to be much less adverts. |

Unless it goes to ITV it will lose viewers, and probably will regardless, so taking it away from the BBC by the production company is cutting off their nose to spite their face.

If Amazon took it, could end up with a scenario like with Ripper Street that it ends up back on BBC along the back door.
My worst fear would ITV, but I dont think it is very ITV style anyway |

If it goes to Amazon, they could get Clarkson to present it.

I suspect the BBC will be reviewing its policy towards the independents which is bad news for all of them, Love Productions just got greedy.

That's the problem when you don't own the format.....if the show becomes a success then you either pay through the nose to keep it or someone else gets it (and if you're pressured by the government to not enter a bidding war, then there's little you can do). The BBC should be making more of their own content, as they clearly can't rely on these production companies being loyal... regardless of the help they have given them. |

If it moves to ITV I'm going to boycott it.
Hope Love fall on their arses because of this. |

If there is a twelve month period before Love can show on another channel then what limitations are there on the BBC? Can they do a new series with any of the same people or any similarities?

It will join a long list of programmes poached by ITV, usually followed by failure.
