Characters past and present that aren't meant to be funny but just are
Can you think of any characters past and present that aren't meant to be comedy characters but just have a natural wit?
Here are mine: Kylie Platt- as she had dramatic storylines, she was never intended to be comical but she was quite witty her one liners were mint David Platt- again he gets dramatic stories but he's also good at one liners tho I think they are more sarcastic than anything Callum Logan- could be very witty sometimes even tho he was meant to be bad Sally Webster- she's meant to be a snob yet she can be really funny Tracy Barlow- supposedly a bitch but she does have good one liners sometimes Mandy Kamara- wayyy before she became a total bitch she was quite comical |

Comedy Gav off of Eastenders. Incompetent DTC is on record as saying he'd be 'worse than Archie' even, but what we got was a gangly pensioner shuffling into houses with a couple of sparklers, playing hide and seek with his ex wife and his sister, and scaling buildings like some sort of geriatric Spiderman.

Kylie was hysterical, she was like Becky in that she was just very humorous, particularly when she was being sarcastic over something. Paula Lane had great comic timing.
Karen McDonald in CS was very funny as well. I used to love her arguments with Steve

Maggie Jones never played Blanche for laughs, but her delivery of her one line zingers were brilliant comedy.

I don't think Phelan is meant to be funny but his nice guy routine makes me chuckle.

Definitely Callum Logan. I felt like I I was watching one of those CBeebies kids shows and he was playing the baddie.

Considering she is a murderer among many other things she has done such a drugs, prostitution, blackmail, gold digger etc. Janine Butcher is absolutely hilarious at times! No other soap character has made me smile more than Janine.
