In Sean's case it's way too old. He's too old to dress the way he does too. And he was just complaining about living with an OAP, because lodging with a family is soooo much better. Get your own fcuking place Sean!!!

As someone above said, he has two jobs. If he's not stitching knickers he's pulling pints, I'm sure he could afford a one bedroom flat. There's no one above Dev's at the moment is there?

As has been pointed out Erica is living there but with all his income, constant over time and working at the Rovers and no commitments whatsoever he should be able to afford a flat in Victoria Court.

40 may or may not be old but it is certainly time for Sean to get his own flat.

Exactly. Mind spending most of his free time with his work colleagues in the local isn't going to help to get a partner either. It's like he's waiting for the next gay character to tun up in the Rovers. Canal Street is only a short bus ride away Sean

He seems the definition of a stay-at-home-Tom who is too afraid to venture out of his comfort zone/nest.. kinda sad as there is a lot of people like that around these days in society.

Where is the ambition!? I'm surprised someone like Eva doesn't tell him that he isn't trying hard enough, if he wants to find someone he needs to change starting with getting his own pad.

some people have different priorities and ambitions in life.

Sean's is clearly to feel part of a family and to have someone that loves him

He should check this forum out the odd time, there seems to be a lot of love for him here.

At 25 I thought 40 was ancient but it's how you feel not how old you are. I'm in my 40s but don't feel old or doddery - a bit dim at times but otherwise no different to how I felt in my 30s. My parents are 60 and act like they are 80 - it's all in their heads. I swear they'll be in tartan zip up booties sat in bath chairs in front of Last of the Summer Wine come winter. My mother in law is 70, working, driving about in a sporty convertible, has a wardrobe most people would dream about and goes for a run every night. Age is a number/label and doesn't define you so 40 can either be ancient or not old at all. Sean is a weird case. Renting someone's front room, getting caught up in bitchy drama at the factory, working in the pub etc. He's too old for that sort of childishness. He was a character who never bothered me but now he's a whinging pain in the rear who needs his scenes fast forwarded. He needs to grow up too as he's very immature and petty for a grown man.

I felt old when I turned 30, I will be 80 in 8 months time, and have never felt better.

If you have good health then age is irrelevant, it really is only a number.

When i started working at 16 i thought that 25 was old.
Hitting 30 was terrible but 40 was fab, and now i don't care!

I agree with you! I know 28 year olds who act like 90 year olds. My grandma has more energy than most of my cousins.

I hope you continue to feel great!

So true-you sound amazing. My dad is the same age as you, and you both have the same positive outlook on life 😀

He definitely moans like he is 100.

Some people would love the life he has, single man, no responsibilities, a good circle of friends...

Thanks, I did my first London Marathon when I as 76, and my second at 78, and I want to do my third next year at 80.
