In January, I did a 5 minute 40 second Plank on Good Morning Britain, and beat Ben Sheppard, Kate Garroway, Alex the weatherman, Sean Fletcher the sports reporter, and footballer, Chris Kamara.

You can see the video if you Google "Pensioner steals Kammy's Plank-off crown!"

Since then I have now broken my own record and can now do a 12 minute Plank.

I am in the gym four mornings a week, and usually do a 2 hour session of rowing, running, weights, cross trainer, and finish off with the Plank, and then 50 push ups.

You make me feel so lazy and ashamed Walter LOL!

I do try and walk 4 times a week or so (around 2-3 miles,) and swim once a week, but I am nowhere near as fit and active as you!

I'm from generation X I'm afraid; the slightly lazy microwave, ready meals, dishwasher generation LOL!

I have always worked though... For over 30 years actually! (So far...) Even when I had my kids I still worked... (I was part time then...)

Good for you. I bet you don't look a day over 60!

...Well it's not young.

If you live to be eighty than you would be middle aged at forty.

No it isn't sad as I happen to be similar in that respect

I'm so tired of judgemental extrovert types who think they know how everyone should be.
Some of us prefer staying at home and aren't interested in Nightlife.

Agree completely that it's all in the mind. If you think young, you'll be young.

You can't think away wrinkles though.

If you look at the video you will see my real name, and you can look at my Facebook page and see for yourself.

Incidentally, after I appeared on Good Morning Britain I was invited onto the Bradley Walsh at the London Palladium show. I ended up doing the Plank on the stage, but when it was shown on TV my Plank had been cut, maybe because Bradley joined me doing it and I beat him.

I did end up sitting in a box drinking champagne with Carole Vorderman, and she took a couple of selfies of us together, and I can say that I Planked on the stage of the London Palladium.

I've just watched you plank on Good morning Britain - brilliant! Well done, that was amazing. I know how hard it is to plank and you need to have good core strength, so you're obviously very fit. Keep it up!

Sean is not just old, he's an old woman.

Thanks very much!

If you Google, "Is this Faversham's fittest pensioner" you can see a few articles about me in my local paper.

Who cares about a few wrinkles? If you have your health then you've everything.

I've just Googled that and you truly are an inspiration!

I'm a bit younger than you and I felt exhausted just reading that article

It's not old, but it is too old for Sean to behave the way he does - the attention-seeking and emotional-bullying. He should also stop dressing like someone in their early twenties.

In some circles once you reach 30 you're considered old. I've seen several instances on certain websites where the person in question is looking for people aged up to say, 25.

40 isn't old; and to be frank I'd prefer older over younger any day.

40 isn't old. Neither is it young. It's middle aged. There's s nothing wrong with that. I started calling myself middle aged at 35:

I used to think 19 was past it when I was about 15, so 40 will be geriatric to those in their teens. But in the grand scheme of things I'd like to think 40 is not old, as I'm only a few years off that myself. Gulp.

It is never too late to start, I was 69 before I did my first 10K, and I had to be assisted home.

I have just go back home after completing my second 10K since Sunday, and I will be doing my third this coming Sunday.

My friends call be Benjamin Button, I have never seen the film, but I believe that it is about a guy who becomes younger as he grows older.

Believe me, mentally it isn't. A 73 my container might be wearing out due to a medical condition limiting my mobility, but my brain is as sharp as yours and with more experience.

Only in years,, I have proved at 79 that I am as fit, or fitter than most of the young guys in my gym who are 50/60 years younger.

I said earlier that my mother in law runs every day at 70. She doesn't feel or act her age - it's a number and doesn't matter to her. Eventually she'll give up her job as a PA but for now she has no intention of slowing down. Have you seen Jarra Jim? At 94 he had to do the Great North Run in a wheelchair after hurting himself. Usually he runs it and raises money for local charities. The guy is an inspiration.

I haven't seen Jarra Him, but I did see the programme on ITV, "100 year old drivers." There was a 96 year old guy in a gym who said exactly what I tell everyone. "If you have your health, there is no reason why you can't work out at the gym in your 90's"

As for me, I would rather drop dead while running a Marathon, than living (or existing) in an old folks home, dribbling and incontinent. I have already told my friends that I want my ashes scattered on the Faversham 10K route, where I have spent so many happy hours.

Sean has 2 jobs i'm pretty sure he can afford to rent his own place.

Why? (Not that he does)
Do you believe people should turn all fuddy-duddy as soon as they're over 35?
There are some 70-odd year old people who are younger in many ways than some 20-somethings. Age in numbers is irrelevant. It's the mind that matters.

Good for you - it's a great attitude to have. My other half is heading towards 50 and is a lot fitter and lifts more then fellas half his age in the gym. Runs 5k every second day as well. His Dad is 73 and cycles - he's doing east to west coast this week. As long as nothing packs up and you're able keeping fit keeps you young,
