I didn't mind Ross being Moses dad as but I don't think Ross should end up with another baby. As alcapo said, it doesn't suit the character of Ross to be looking after kids all the time. I just can't see this baby being Dan's though, this is a soap after all.

As for Kerry, why did they have to give her a baby plot? Isn't there anything else they could I think of for the character?
What would be fantastic and unique would be if Kerry had DNA tests done, the test comes back showing Ross is the father, but the post is intercepted by Amelia, who types up a new result to show Dan as the father. I don't think that's ever been done before!!!!

You'd think he could put a sock on it, wouldn't you.
Ah - that explains why James used one of Adam's socks for his DNA test - he was certain of a good harvest...

I've never been a huge fan of Kerry, but recently she has been dire. I hate the way she talks and acts and is the biggest skank hypocrite going.

That would be good! I wonder how the timing works?
Pretty sure the timing worked out better for Declan than it did for Ross.

True sadly.

But imagine the wrath of Emma if it turned out Charity had lied

I ' m so tired of all the babies in ED though. Surely they could have thought of another story for Dan and Kerry?
The wrath of Emma, the wrath of Ross, the wrath of Debbie and most of the Dingles.

Kerry should just have had problems with her diabetes seriously this time though. Or something happening to Amelia at school. Or Dan could have had some real problems with his paramedic training/care home job that didn't involve sleeping with other people

I hope Kerry doesn't end up lying to Dan (assuming she keeps the baby) and try to carry on as if everything's okay even though she knows there's a good chance it isn't even his baby. Them storylines are so overdone.

This brings us back to why I hope it is Dan & Kerry's baby (and that if a daughter they call her Ruby. If they have a son they could call him Reuben. )

That'd be sweet.

I know that soap scriptwriters thrive on unexpected affairs and splitting couples, but as Ruby's last moment was seeing Dan & Kerry happy together supporting her, I can hardly bare them having a rift in their relationship. Having a daughter Ruby would be the nearest thing to a perfect legacy.

Anyone else think she'll lose the baby? It would be a realistic plot point as people with diabetes are at an increased risk of miscarriage. I know this from past experiences. I'm guessing she'll find out its Dan's and will attempt to move on from her night with Ross, and fix her relationship with Dan, only for her to miscarry. It would fit the "dark storyline for Dan and Kerry" description as well.
Either way, I hope the fact that diabetes causes risk to pregnancies isn't just swept under the carpet for this storyline. I hope they don't cheat out what could be a unique storyline for more "Who's the Daddy" cliche drama. Where will they go with the story if it's Ross'? Emma desperately trying to get custody of the baby? Haven't we already seen that before? Ross has already been through the whole baby drama situation with Moses. Ross is a fairly good dad to Moses, all things considered, it was good character development for Ross IMO, but giving Ross another child would be incredibly boring. I hate the thought of Ross becoming Daddy Day Care to children he fathered with random women like the character of Jimmy has ended up.

Why can't the writers try something different for once? And with the big Barton storyline coming up with James where will the writers have time to fit in a baby plot for Ross without people complaining he is being overused again? Maybe I'm just wishful thinking but I believe there are better storyline options for Ross, Kerry and Dan if it turns out to be Dan's baby.
That's a very, very good point. We know she had Amy but she's a lot older now and (perhaps with her lifestyle) her diabetes could be a lot worse and she might not find it easy this time. That might have been a good storyline by itself without the 'who'sthedaddy' soapy completely unimaginative cliche - an older diabetic woman struggling with pregnancy, an informative storyline played straight with no Kerry-man slapstick like we had with her diabetes related lost of eye-sight (or whatever it was, my abiding memory is Kerry slamming straight into a glass door when she ran away. They just couldn't resist having some slapstick in there) *roll eyes*

With Debbie due to return soon (meaning inevitable screen time for Ross), I'm increasingly beginning to think it's Dan's baby, or Ross is going to end up in about 4 different plots all playing out at the same time. Imagine throwing in a "Who's the daddy" plot for him when he'll already be heavily involved in Dross drama and James' death. Though I still think Kerry is going to miscarry anyway.
