So I have finally caught up with EE.

I have to say considering this is one of EE biggest ever secrets- it felt flat once Grant knew that Mark Jnr was his Son and then Mark telling Sharon as he was about to leave that he knows Grant is his Father.

Is there more to come with this in the future?

Surely Mark Jnr will tell Michelle that he knows Grant is his Father?

Grant not telling Mark makes me feel there is more to come down the line between Grant and Mark.

It was just the biggest tease of the show.

Oh look grant gets a secret son and they're gone.

In hindsight EE should have probably not developed this story unless both Ross Kemp and Susan Tully (or a completely new actress playing Michelle) were able to return for a reasonable length of time. Ross Kemp only returned for 3 weeks and he didn't find out the truth about Mark until his final week so wasn't anywhere near enough time to get the best out of this story.

On the back of the story you would hope the new producer will someday get both Ross Kemp and the actor who plays Mark Jnr to return someday with Michelle in tow, but by the sounds of it EE don't have plans to ask Ross Kemp back anytime soon unfortunately.

I think they wanted to draw a line under it while they had the opportunity. It's a shame that one of the biggest stories in the history of EastEnders has been wrapped up so quickly.
If Ross Kemp doesn't return, I am not sure they will revisit it, which is a shame as I would like to see more of Courtney and Mark junior.

Is this DTC's work or O'Connors?

It's all about Courtney and Mark now. They're old enough to have their own stories and to be a real asset to the show. We don't need Grant. or Michelle.

I'm fine with that. They need to start looking to the next generation for s/ls. We have some crackers in Steven, Ben, Jay, Courtney and maybe Mark. Then there's Martin and Stacey. Our kids have grown up.
