I imagined the secret would be that she was somehow involved in her ex's crimes and shopped him in return for leniency. I don't doubt she was genuine about shopping him though.

I think you've got it spot on there. There was a spoiler released somewhere recently saying "Which Corrie character is going to be revealed as a bigamist?" Now they're teasing Beth's big secret regarding her ex-husband, too much of a coincidence I think....

she's still married to craigs dad

Yes, Craig visited his dad in last night's episode and told him that he and Beth are still married.

Don't you have to show divorce papers etc. when you get married if you were married before? or did she just say she was never married to Craig's dad. Great to see Butch again, and casting someone who really does look as if he could be Craig's dad is a bonus.

The question is why did she never divorce him when Craig was too young to know anything about it if she was so out of love with him to shop him to the police, surely she would have plenty of grounds!! Can't help feeling there's still more to this than meets the eye!!
