I like Cora but she hasn't been part of the main cast for almost a year. Is she coming back and if the answer is yes, when can we see her again?

Hi Fred

Welcome to the Forum, great to see another Cora fan on here, there are sadly not may of us.

Cora is due to return later this year so Ann Mitchell will be returning to filming pretty soon or maybe she has already.

On Twitter there has rumours that Cora will be mentioned by Grand daughter Abi in the coming weeks so I guess this puts the wheels in motion for her return.

Hopefully before long. The Branning girls are adrift without any family and Max is unlikely to want anything to do with them.

Personally I feel there is no longer space for her on the show and she shouldn't return unless it is for my halloween storyline.

But I have it on good authority she is returning

I think Max will return on Halloween,

The show is losing seven characters and possibly more so she is needed in my view.

I put a storyline idea for that in my Mcbeale thread.

Cora is a supporting character at best and is barely replacement for buster never mind roxy and ronnie.

I would rather the show moved forwards. With no Tanya on the square I feel no need for cora

Cora is fabulous. Twice the character of Birdie and Babe put together. I really hope Babe leaves next. Maybe Cora can run her out of town.

YES!! Cora and Abi murder Babe (and have Sylvie as an accomplice)!

Cora never liked Max but when Max went on the run from the Court and tracked Cora down to the allotment there seemed to be a thaw between them, like Cora believed that Max was innocent of Lucy's Murder.

I am fascinated to know where both characters have been since they last appeared.

I am sure Max and Cora have been in touch since Max was released from Prison and if they don't return to the Square at the same time they will almost certainly return within episodes of one another.

Really? I have seen far better acting from Birdie than I ever did from Cora the one trick pony (aka being bitter and drunk) and Babe (though I loathe the character) is much more complex.

Cora did nothing for months and months but wonder about homeless- why do we need her back?

The biggest problem for the character is that the writing has been poor for her as the Actress is one of the show's best.

I was wondering when the insults about Cora would come out!

Birdie is just a nosy old gossip who pretends that butter wouldn't melt. In fact she's a nasty bigot who drove Paul's mother away and lied about it.

Cora was only homeless towards the end of her last stint. Before that we saw her as a loving grandma who often had to pick up the pieces when their parents were tearing each other apart. She tried to help Raine, was protective of Tanya and fell in love with Stan. She was also one of the only ones that believed in Max's innocence. She was also fab in the live scenes of Lola giving birth.

Agreed and now that Claudette is also leaving Cora along with Dot, Patrick, Kathy & Babe will be the only older characters left.

I'd like that very much.

Babe actually makes me feel sick, so I guess she must be good at portraying the character she is but I'd rather see the back of her.

I wish Tanya would come back, I loved her.

Where exactly will she live if she returns? With Dot I suppose. She has that nice flat in Dalston as well.
