AJ has been shortlisted for 2016 The Gentleman's Award at the Galaxy Classique Awards ceremony.

For those who don't know, this is a red carpet event held in Wolverhampton to celebrate national and international dance talent. The event includes a 4 course dinner, and dancing to the Joe Loss Orchestra.

I'm sure we can all wish AJ luck,

Do you know how they draw up the shortlist, kaycee?

Yes, good luck to AJ.

Why so annoyed before you've even seen them dance together?

at 20 he shouldn't be on such a big show he's not good enough to teach someone to dance

He's 21 nearly 22, and if your good enough your old enough. Ever heard of that saying?

You don't know if he is good enough yet, so lets wait and see.

well at 21 nearly 22 (like myself) he's hardly able to teach someone to dance& come up with good choreography

Completely disagree. Age isn't a measure of ability. Aljaz was only 23 when he won with Abbey.

pros should be at least 25 before they are even considered for the show IMO

Mealy mouthed posts about someone you have not even seen dance yet with Claudia - but at 21 he is 3 times national youth champion and was second in the European 10 dance so for his young years he has achieved far more than your fave Anton - who never won a British title at blackpool - he comes from a dancing family who own a large dance school in Cheshire - AJ has helped teach youngsters with special needs - he throughly deserves his nomination

And Julianne Hough won Dancing With The Stars at the age of 19. Twice.

What does AJ stand for ? I find it so annoying when people use these abbreviations . He's not a company like BT . I googled but couldn't find an answer .

Aparently Alex Joseph, he should really just go by Alex, the nickname thing is uncalled for and uncessesery

Well there you go he's a veteran compared to Julianne when she won and why shouldn't he use a shortened name, if that is what he wants to be known as?

But you're not saying it based on what you see. We've barely seen him. We can judge later on if he's a good teacher and a gent in the ballroom.

Yes, he is only about a year younger than Alijaz when he joined the show.

Alijaz looks older, so it wasn't so noticeable, but unfortunately (or possibly fortunately!) for AJ, he looks very young, he could easily be mistaken for 16, so I think people are focusing on his age more.
