EE: SOC seems like a sensible guy (spoilers)

The more I hear the more I'm excited for his era. So far we know he's not a fan of spoilers and overhyping so I think the fact we haven't had an interview is because of this.

He's not a fan of characters going unpunished (Ronnie, Claudette) which is undoubtedly a good thing. I hope we see the back of Jane next because whatever DTC thought she's irredeemable.

Sensationalism is obviously not something he enjoys looking at his previous work that was all gripping without any over the top stuff.

I expect things to pick up within the next couple of weeks when his stories start to hit the screens and I'm actually pretty excited.

I wouldn't get too excited just yet, just go along with the ride.

So why is the Philth getting a liver transplant?

Not that he would be eligible anyway.

Maybe he will take on the traits of the liver donor and become a tap dancing Lady Gaga fan?

Does that mean Phil, Ian, Jane, Sharon, Lauren, Abi, Babe and Vincent are all going to be punished as well.

I know I shouldn't really I'm just trying to be optimistic. A positive thread to counter the more negative ones tonight (nothing wrong with negative threads just trying to keep positive)

Ah but that's not Ben anymore - he now bangs on and on about being a Mitchell and has suddenly started saying bruv every two minutes.

So we will not notice any difference.

I'm not excited at all the latest episodes have been dull, there's an awful lot of character's leaving and I liked the producer being on Twitter, giving interview's etc.

I think there are a few 'Archers' listeners who would query the "doesn't do sensational' claim. My brother was metaphorically jumping up and down with joy that his tenure officially ended on Sunday so the show might get back to what it used to be.

It's too early to say really.

I am pleased if we're going to get back to people being punished for wrong doings but sadly, after the Bobby fiasco, that includes half the previously moral and likeable characters.

I am pleased he seems to want to look forwards rather than back (Ross Kemp stating he hasn't been asked back for another stint because it is a new Producer) but i'm disappointed by some of his axeings such as Lee, Les, Buster and Pam.

We'll see.

It doesn't have to be murder. Jane did something unforgivable in my eyes. Others played their part in covering up Carl's murder and made sure an innocent man went to prison. Vincent disposed of a body and then buried his mother alive. Abi attempted to murder Babe....

I do agree on Jane. She is irredeemable.

The other have all done awful things, but nothing quite as bad as Jane.

I'd settle for Jane and Babe.

I feel like we're really noticing the cuts at the minute with them being confined to the set and so on

Framing an innocent man and perverting the course of justice are criminal offences
I agree that Ian can't really be punished given he won't be leaving but they should have had him serve a few months in prison then that would have been an end to it.

Jane on the other hand is irredeemable and has to go.

2 innocent men, Sorch... Max and Warren off of Hollyoaks. And concealing evidence to frame her brother in law... And trying to steal a baby off of her hot not-daughter, the driving her out of the country as an act of spitefulness.
