Coronation Street Twitter has tweeted that Sam Robertson will return as Adam Barlow and Rob Mallard has been cast as youngest son of Ken Barlow - Daniel. Both arrive in November.

I'm so glad they decided to cast Sam back in the role. They clearly auditioned for the part but he has improved tremendously over the years so I'm happy to see he won back his part.
Good to see a different take on Daniel too. The last thing we needed was another Barlow in the same mould. I'm excited to see all three Barlow boys back.

So pee'd they didn't recast Adam, Sam Robertson was terrible in his last stint in Corrie imo.
Haven't seen Rob Mallard in anything so I'll reserve my judgement.
Am glad they are bringing the Barlow's back to the forefront as they have looked a little depleted in recent years but am slightly worried they are going to go overkill (like the Platts!) with bringing both Adam and Daniel back.
I'm more intrigued in Daniel tbh, it will be interesting to see what their relationship is like with Ken as he's an adult now and that they've had next to no contact in almost a decade after I think Daniel rejected Ken the last time Ken tried to make amends for being a terrible father.
As for Adam he was never the most interesting characters, I'm not sure what storyline scope there is for him especially as the Baldwin's are long gone, I s'pose he still has some history with Leanne (I think it was her that conned Danny into giving Adam his share of the will?) and possibly Tracy. I never really liked him even when feuding over Mike's will, he always did the 'poor me' act which really annoyed me, admittedly it was years ago so he could have changed.

Rob Mallard played Connor in Emmerdale last year, the guy who ripped off Lawrence and was an ex of Robert.

Just as long as they aren't all going to be residing at No.1, 6 people would be pushing it. Maybe Daniel can lodge with Norris, it would be fitting seeing as his father resided there in the first episode.

I'm glad the Barlows are being rebuilt but I'm getting Barton Mark 2 vibes. Daniel will be Finn, Adam will be Ross and Peter will be Pete. How long before Peter and Adam are fighting over Maria? Denise Black will be back for Ken. I'm interested to see how Tracy fits into this dynamic.
I'd also prefer if Simon was recast and got the coming out story. Daniel being gay wouldn't have the same impact. It's probably for the best that Adam remains played by Sam. At least he has the history and his acting can only have improved.

Adam will probably end up shagging either Eva or Dreary Maria.
Peter might reunite with Leanne, yet again.
As for Daniel? If he is gay, Todd. Unless the writers show some imagination and a new character hooks up with him.
