Does anyone else agree there are so many good loking men in ED, no other soap can compete? Cain, Rakesh, Pierce, Pete and Ross Barton, Lawrence and Ronnie (attractive older men) , and now Frank. Makes the show worth watching, but is it unrealistic that so many good looking men would be living in a tiny village?
I also have to say I think that Vanessa looks too old to be Franks's daughter, more like a younger sister.

I agree about the men too, ED has some of the best, King Robert for me is sublime.

I would prefer a few good looking women rather than the old munters, a few more like Priya, preferably ones who can keep their lunch down.

Emmerdale have plenty of gorgeous women, Leyla and Chrissie are two of the most gorgeous women on Tv at the minute

They don't do it for me, Alisha was the best looking shame they didn't bring her back for the David cancer story.

You can't really get into showbusiness if you are average / a bit ugly. Maybe once you are over 40 but you will just be typecast as a housewife or detective.

Carly is the best woman she is gorgeous.

Yes, I'd rather feast my eyes on Emmerdale's tasty fayre, than labour through watching Ian Beale's baggy eyes, ever-expanding girth and squeaky voice and Phil Mitchell's paunch several times a week!

I agree Vanessa does look too old to be Frank's daughter (so pleased to have Michael Praed back on my screen - my first huge actor crush as a teen 32 years ago...) - agree she looks more like his younger sister. Not happy with Frank's ridiculous storylines so far (next week's looks beyond believable) but MP is a welcome addition for me.

I also think there's a high calibre of good-looking women on ED - Carly's another gorgeous girl, as well as Priya, Layla, Tracy, Vanessa, Chrissie and Kerry (the actress is gorgeous, even if the character dresses abominably) . And Emma, Moira, Chas, Charity and Rhona are attractive enough too.

Corrie's resident pretty boy Aiden, no way, and I notice they are trying to make Luke more appealing by making him strut around in a dinner suit EE has no one really, apart from maybe Kush, but ED men Wow!

Yes, someone mentioned elsewhere that he's signed up for a year - hope he stays longer, although he's usually quite the theatre man. I saw him in High Society in 2013 - loved his performance. He has a nice voice now, but I do prefer his younger voice - it was like smooth chocolate pouring over me...now it seems to have the odd handful of cocoa nibs in it!

Also loving having John McArdle back on our screens - hope he stays longer too.

Totally agree, compare the Emmerdale men to who? Kush in Eastenders? or Luke in Corrie? and the Emmerdale lot knock socks off them. Layla and Carly are just gorgeous, EE has Lauren I suppose and Corrie Eva but again nowhere as gorgeous.
As for the older men, more my age, Ian Beale in EE and Roy Cropper in Corrie, I'll stick with Pierce, Cain and hot Ross buns, thanks.

I know what you mean about John McArdle - for me, he's a little typecast as Billy Corkhill, so I always have him as the family man in my mind.

ED is on par with Hollyoaks for good looking blokes but Oaks has better looking women.

Corrie only has a few good looking blokes, Todd is the best, and Luke and Andy are ok. Only Maria is what i'd call really attractive in Corrie.

Pete Barton is the hottest - a very manly looking guy and sooo sexy. I do like Ross as well. Corrie does have Aidan, Andy and that Priest is hot too.

Have never watched Hollyoaks, always feel it's a soap for young people (which I am not). Sorry, but Todd, Luke and wet lettuce Andy, are just no match for the ED men

Ross is the best looking followed by Squire Robert and Rakesh.

I don't find Pete attractive but older wise Lawrence is yum. Nikhil was divine and Declan was a bit of alright

No I have a much better personality than Brad Pitt, and much better looking too.

I started this thread about really handsome men in ED, mostly to appeal to us older women, stop bringing in people like the creepy vicar, wet lettuce Andy, and chunky "pretty boy " Aidan. No comparison
