Emmerdale - The details of Rakesh's job
KB1984
14-09-2016
Apologies if this has been covered but can someone please enlighten me in regards to Rakesh.

He seems to be a hybrid of a solicitor/barrister, swapping to whichever the story of the day deems fit.

Can someone please enlighten me, as from what I've seen and heard of barristers/solicitors in the past (which is very little) they seem to be seperate and not at all how Rakesh is portrayed.

As far as I can remember he specialised in corporate law but in Emmerdale solicitor just means solicitor and they all left their usual ones in Hotten for Rakesh for any reason at all. He did say to Chrissie that he had no knowldge of criminal law. I think because he was a neighbour they expected a cheap homer.

When he recently got his job back (thanks to Chrissie basically buying it back for him so she could use him) Pierce made it clear that it was dependent on him winning Andy's case, there has been no follow up to say if he got kept on after Andy legged it or not has there? Does anyone know if he is still there or is he unemployed again? Does Emmerdale even know

He never seems to be at work. He's always wandering around the village.

Just strange to me how he seemed to be a 'solicitor' one minute then the next minute he's in court with the wig and gown
