So temped to write "240 grit sandpaper" and leave it at that

Serious answer: A barely damp microfibre cloth will do. Dampen the cloth with water.

LoL Chris!

I use only a soft dry cloth. As I never suffer fingermarks, splashes or anything. Just a bit of dust that builds up from the carpets after a few days. Do it obviously when the set isn't on.

Do you have to go in a particular motion when wiping?
I dont like certain types of wipes as they can leave streaks on the screen but using a microfibre/soft cloth can sometimes get rid of them. I dont get many fingermarks or anything on the screen thankfully.

Ha ha ha.... if this was Friday night and we were in General Discussion then this thread could take on an entirely different meaning, if you know what I mean?

The screen cleaning sprays you get for computer screens seems to work well. Finger marks being greasy tend not to respond to just water......

Smack the kids if they dare to touch the screen, is my solution.

Clean with a damp microfiber cloth with a bit of washing up liquid and then buff lightly with a dry MF cloth.

I use Fellowes cleaning spray and Fellowes screen protector.
These are used by proffesionals for lenses, screens and any other optical surfaces needing a complete clean.
I source mine on e-bay and got the two canisters for under £10-if you buy from a proffesional outlet you can pay around £18 or so per can!
