With a total of 9 characters leaving surely at least one return is on the cards, maybe the reason for this is to lure a high costing character back to the show.

I think the first return could be Lisa Fowler.

Wouldn't surprise me to be honest if Lisa returned. I think Lisa is one return that needs to happen to be honest, for years she did everything humanly possible to keep Louise away from Phil and then suddenly Louise moves in with Phil and Lisa does nothing about it, doesn't ring true to be honest especially considering that Phil almost killed Louise when he went on his digger rampage when Drunk.

I would also like see Rainie Cross return for a guest stint as I know Tanya Franks doesn't like to commit long term - there is still unresolved stuff between her and Cora too.

i would actually prefer no returns under SOC, there were so many under DTC that its just not surprising or interesting for me anymore, though we do have Ryan's short return coming up, and it wouldnt surprise me if Kat and Alfie(maybe only Kat) return after redwater has aired, but hopefully we wont see the sheer amount of returns as we did under DTC

They should bring back Lisa Fowler and *maybe* Zsa Zsa Carter at most.

Tina used to be a good character before getting involved with Sonia. Zsa Zsa was decent and with the lack of young adult Carters (Dean was banished, don't think Carly will be back, Nancy is gone and Lee is soon to leave) she might just fill that gap.

Reckon Kat and Alfie will return later down the line once Redwater is wrapped up and they've found Luke.

i actually wouldnt mind a Zsa Zsa return, unfortunately i think it would have to be recast though

Well there is no point of Zsa Zsa coming back then, if your not going to bring back the original actress

With all the empty houses that will exist once all the departing characters are gone I'm far more interested in seeing new families and characters being introduced by SOC

31 Albert Square-once Sonia and Rebecca move out, surely Tina and Sylvie will either move back into the vic or else in 23 with Shirley

27 Albert Square-I'd Imagine once Ronnie and Roxy leave with Matthew and possibly Amy,
Jack will downgrade with Richard

5a and 5b Albert Square-Jack's new apartments yet to be occupied with on-screen characters

18 Albert Square-recently separated from 20, we have yet to see on-screen characters here too

41 Albert Square-will be left empty after Masood's departure

47b Albert Square-the flat above Donna's where Roxy stayed briefly or is she still there? I'm not quite sure

53 Turpin Road-will be empty after Les and Pam's departure, I for one would love to see Billy move in here with the kids

Some of the existing characters should move around. Billy's family should move out of that tiny little hovel, into the flat above Coker & Sons maybe? Also Stacey, Martin, Lily, Arthur, Belinda, and Bex could move somewhere larger.
