What are you least favourite in recent years, it can be for multiple reasons such as you hate both charcthers and them together multiples the irritation factor, or you like one of the paring and hTe the other so they ruin your enjoyment of a character and another one that I often find is the pairing doesn't feel remotely believable and was such a ham fisted plot device that the suspension of disbelief required is to great to be able to enjoy.
I don't really watch any soap excep Emmerdale, hence all my choices are from them.
Robert and Aaron
I never really bough Robert as bisexual or gay for starters, I know people can discover their sexuality later in life but I just never bought this from him. ( Kate Oates explanation was that he was alway unsatisfied in relationships so maybe a relationship with a man would be the answer....so by this logic expect Andy,Ross and Cain to also fall into bed with a man) on top of this Robert was actually intresting when he was an embittered bastard, now he's just a dullard. Aaron I always found loathsome.
Andy and chrissie
The epitome of plot device, no real build up or spark previously between the pair and placed together purely because of who their exes were, didn't matter if the attraction wasnt believable and completely forced from nowhere it would make for some drama down the line.
Also chrissie previous to this had been potrayed as some one who a relationship as seedy as hooking up with an ex's sibling and step moms former lover was far beneath her, especially as she is somewhat stuck up and Andy being...well Andy, shewouldn't have been remotely interested in him. When they did get together she acted like a desperate teenager just so we could understand her heartbreak when he inevitabley bonked Bernice and resonate her desire for revenge and transformation to Disney villain.i never believed any of it and just ruined a character I previously liked.
Rhona and Pierce
Similar to the above, an utterly contrived pairing that never felt believable and on,y together for the show and drama due to who their exes was. So the widowed cuckold for no logical reason moved in with the betrayed wife of his own wife's married lover....why on earth would this ever happen.
Zak and Joanie
one of the shows only parings with any real history and long term commitment thrown away for the sake of not even interesting affair. The shows desire to have every couple cheat recently has been dreadful and their paring of new couples has been awful....
Belle and the doc
just truly awful in every way. Prolonged and tedious story, I can't even remember the docs name as I zone out when this story comes on, reasonably well acted by Eden but none of the people involved in this tragic sorry are sympathetic so it is difficult to care
David and Tracey
Firstly you got over Alicia very quickly and secondly if a woman doesn't want to get married it's not romantic to try and bully her into it, it's actually quite sinister and controlling...nice work Emmerdale writers.
Marlon and Carly
Dont insult my intelligence
