Bought some bacon jam from Aldi recently, although I haven't tried anu yet.
Sounds yuck.

It's not bad actually. Tastes more like a chutney, rather than a jam.

A discovery I made recently: Snyder's of Hanover pretzel pieces. They sell them in various flavours and I've tried the jalapeņo and buffalo varieties, both of which are lovely.

Not the Flaming Hot Cheetos, but Jalapeno Cheetos! (I think you can only get them in those stupidly expensive American sweet shops) They are SO GOOD! And they don't leave red fingerprints.

Not so. Coco Pops is the king of sugary cereals. Although I suppose technically that counts as American too.

Aside from the marshmallow sugar cube bits the rest of Lucky Charms is bland fare, whereas nothing goes to waste in Coco Pops, not even the resulting chocolatey enhanced milk!

I had Coco Pops again for the first time in years last week. You'd have thought I had 5 cups of coffee the sugar rush was so mental.
You'd probably like a US cereal called Count Chocula! It's chocolate crunchy bits like coco pops, but also has chocolate marshmallow bits in it!

It's all about the Lucky Charms, the greatest cereal of all time!
I love Lucky Charms! Those and Marshmallow Mateys are my breakfast cereal of choice at the moment. They're full of gloop but they taste sooooo good! You get them in B&M stores. I also love Snyder's of Hanover pretzel pieces. They're nice but there's a lot of rubbish in them. I avoid American chocolate as I don't trust the milk it's made with.

I have tried many of the 'American' products and have usually found them to be lacking. Flavour profiles change from country to country.

What ever happened to pop tarts with NO frosting? We had them in the 90's in the UK. I have to admit to liking a Baby Ruth but I'm sure it's been ingrained in my head since I saw the Goonies and Marathons (remember these?) Sorry, Snickers is very similar.

Twinkies? Gimme' a jam doughnut any day for a fraction of the cost.

I've tried a lot of the American candy and I prefer British but then that's the flavour profile I knew as a kid.

When I'm in the US I stick to dark chocolate if it's American made. Although you can buy Swiss and Belgian chocolates over there. They have chocolate shops called Sees Candies. You custom order a box inside the shop and we selected from mainly the dark chocolates. They were magnificent.
