Spoiler
I don't know quite what he hopes to accomplish here. We know how powerful Archangels (can) be compared to normal Angels. Last I checked, Castiel was still a normal Angel. If Gabriel could create fake realities and Michael could explode Castiel with the click of his finger, how does he (Castiel) intent to do harm to Lucy?

Spoiler
Surely she'll realize her error when her four year old son starts driving, eating burgers and shooting demons...

Oh!!! The torture scene, I don't remember Supernatural being that gory blow torch and showing the start?

Bye Mark, looks like he won't return again. Lucifer is jumping around looking for a new long term vessel.

The British Men Of Letters have their own torturers etc. I am wondering if they are going to be the big bad this season? They are not demons or angels but humans who perhaps the biggest monsters of all.

So Dean was conceived in the back of Baby The look of horror on his face watching Mary remember.

Good, solid start to the season from the SPN team. I've missed it more than all the superhero stuff, which if I'm honest, I'm getting a bit weary of.

Things need to be creepy as the nights draw in

I imagine that it's a two-part season opener, but just being shown over two weeks.

The episode guide for Episode 3 basically confirms this.

Decent opener though. I have a feeling that Mary will eventually want to go off and "find herself" for a few episodes so that we can establish the season's storyline and big bad.

Completely agree here. Why not just answer the damn questions? He's got nothing to lose.

Also, since when can normal people beat up Angels in a fist fight? The hell is up with that?

I kind of hope this is the case to be honest.

If you look when they first show the knuckle dusters there are runes of some description etched into them

Did it really say Jared Padalecki is only a guest star? What's that all about?

Don't remember that. Pretty sure fandom would be up in arms if that were the case. You sure you didn't mix it up with someone else?

*scrambles to find the opening credit run*

Yeah, it's possible I made a mistake. I'm not entirely sure to be honest, got confused and saddened by what (I believe) I saw.

I know, I'll check it and post back.

Saying that, though, Misha has be made an 'and' in the credits, which apparently is a step up or something (I have no idea)

I hope those knuckle dusters had angel warding on them otherwise what the hell was that about? Some human kicking Cas all over the joint and even making him bleed? He is t human anymore. Would have been nice to have Cas spit the blood and go "hrmph angel warding!" Before staggering back up, ya know just to confirm it?

Bit odd watching MoL woman anyway cus just 6months ago she was a vampire in vampire diaries. Now she's a vampire hunter in Supernatural lol to make it worse she sounds and looks the same ;p

As I said earlier in thead it is clearly shown when you first see her holding the knuckle dusters behind her back they glint red and have 4 symbols where her fingers are.

I'm glad supernatural didn't get Cas to say anything rather than spoon feeding the audience like they cant understand what's going on.

I can't help but feel that Mary is going to be this seasons big bad something just feels off and would Amara of really been that kind to bring Mary back without some sort of darkness in her?
I think the British men of letters and the Winchesters may end up teaming up to take down this seasons big bad and Lucifer.

I hope not, that would be awful for the boys. I cant see her out on the road hunting after giving it up all those years ago but she will help rescue Sammy then maybe set up a proper home for the boys when they're not on the road - so they get some happiness and family when the series ends

I'm hoping they do get the happy ending, but i got that niggly feeling something isn't right with Mary.

Yeah, I kinda made a boo boo.

It said "starring" Jared Padalecki then Jensen's name had nothing above it so my caffeine addled mind panicked and started seeing things that were never there to begin with. Opps...

Anyways, I too am curious as to what role Sam and Dean's mom will play this season/series. She has to be there for a reason, and drama needs conflict so something has to happen, right?

Hey, no worries

To be honest, I don't want Mary to be bad, simply because having a parental figure helps to ground the show a little, bringing back something it lost with John, Bobby and even Ellen. It's an interesting new dynamic.

Shows like TVD culled all their 'adult/parents' and became too teen drama, not that SPN tends to suffer from that. I hope she sticks around and there's no end of season take back

Well, I don't want Mary as the big bad either. Hopefully she does fill the John/Bobby (Bobby! )/Ellen type parental role. It's just odd that we haven't seen any hints as to what the big bad could be (granted, it's early days).

TVD, lol, someone gave me the first season on Bluray and I still haven't got around to watching it yet.

Great to have Sam, Dean and Cas back.

Well that was a blink and you'll miss it scene.

Agreed here. Would it have killed them for Dean to ask Cas (afterwards) how it was possible, for Cas to state that being the reason, rather than the writers to assume we had our eyes glued open and were 110% aware of all that was going on.

As I said earlier in thead it is clearly shown when you first see her holding the knuckle dusters behind her back they glint red and have 4 symbols where her fingers are.

Again, it was one short scene. If the viewer was distracted for a mere three seconds, they'd not have seen that.

I can't help but feel that Mary is going to be this seasons big bad something just feels off and would Amara of really been that kind to bring Mary back without some sort of darkness in her?
I don't think Amara had/has anything to gain by tormenting Dean, Sam, or the world any longer. I'll be really surprised if there's anything wrong with Mary. She's probably just adjusting to her revival.

I think the British men of letters and the Winchesters may end up teaming up to take down this seasons big bad and Lucifer.
I'm not convinced Lucifer is going to be the big bad; what purpose would it serve? He's already been the big bad, and if we've learnt anything from last season, he's somewhat made his peace with God. It looks (to me) like he's trying to find a new vessel so that he can exist on Earth and start to understand humanity or something, though he's probably not going the best way about it!

yes but I would rather miss something, question it and go back for a second look than be spoon fed information like the audience are idiots as happens in a lot of shows.

I'm sure we all miss things on first watching of an episode sometimes, if we question things we ask or go back for a second watch I cant see the issue.

And it's on its last season now I used to like it a lot, but the last few season I think I'm just watching to see how it ends. Meanwhile, it amuses me no end that it used to have more viewers than SPN, but the latter is outliving another show

Don't count your chickens this being the last season. They will keep going as long as the actors are happy and the viewing figures are. The writers mentioned a anniversary number show number they want to reach. Seems this would make it in season 13.
