What's everybody's thoughts on the show so far?

The video is very well shot, but as always the track shots are not reflective of what happens on track

Probably the best ever picture quality I've seen on my 1080p 40" Samsung, must be eye popping in 4K!

Well I enjoyed it the photography was amazing and the cars were beautiful and it's was different enough from old top, gear to make it interesting

Sound has been playing up towards the end probably wi-fi.

Over all I'm not that impressed it's not a patch on old Top Gear and it's not much better than BBC's recent revamped version. If it was a DVD I'd say it was average. I hoped it might be better than Top Gear of old but it's not. It's missing all the good bits like The Stig and the producers challenges.

Might improve as it goes on though.

I found OK, not as good as I was hoping for mind but I suppose it will take a while to get used to it.

Great start overall I think - set the stage for a lot of things that I'm sure will develop over the coming weeks, brilliant cars for the opening comparison, and the whole thing looked stunning in HD, never mind what 4k must look like.

The only thing that really didn't work was the whole celebrity section, which was dreadful and took-up way too much time. Hopefully that's the last we see of anything like that now that the opening episode is done.

I'll watch it again tomorrow, see what I make of it on a little more sleep

Loved it

I have to say it looks incredible, you can see millions of pounds has been thrown into this.

Well, no-one can say that it wasn't about cars.

The problem was there was not much relief from the cars and what there was seemed strained. All three seemed tense as if they were scared of overstepping some line.

I hope this was filmed first so that it can loosen up a bit.

Picked up a 55" LG OLED C6. Watched opening sequence. Can confirm: my face melted.

It wasnt perfect, I think they were still playing around and I think there were some regular features they werent putting in day 1, that said it walked all Chris Evans Gear, solid start.

This will look awesome next year in 8K Super Mega Ultra HD (SMUHD)

I loved it. Looked stunning, and I laughed more in that one episode than I did in the entire season of the revamped Top Gear.

The tent sections did feel a little forced at times, but that's only a minor quibble.

I haven't watched it in years, but first thought is they have all aged a lot and even h had put on quite a bit of weight

Am I the only one that doest like the colours? Looks overboard on the filters and saturation

Not watched it yet - it's pencilled in for that period just after dinner with a coffee and a Lion Bar.

The opening was brash, very American, loud....but it was still 3 British past middle-aged guys racing cars....when they got on the stage it was like listening to 3 MCs at a wedding trying their best to warm up the crowd before the dinner is served...

Hopefully the set pieces and location filming improves it - the previews do look good. I have the first 4 episodes free so will give it a chance........

They may struggle to get a million UK viewers........but they do have the Amazon slush fund..

Likely a small few, it's so colorful it looks stunning, this is the best picture quality I have ever seen on a screen, I can't imagine what 4k is like for those who have it

I can't wait to see more everything worked for me, this is what happens when the hosts are natural and best mates with a brand giving them more money than sense.

A pretty good start. I'm no petrol head but watch mainly for the challenges, locations and three middle aged men having a laugh together so I wasn't that interested in the electric supercars. Clearly the new format will take time to find its feet but taking the show to a different city each week opens up a lot of potential.

Great to have them back.

Exactly what I expected. TG with a bigger budget. The three's utter lack of passion or interest is what stood out for me, really felt phoned in. Still the cars are great and the photography amazing, a passable hour of TV.
