Well, if you're right and people are watching for free and having the audacity to complain about the quality.... shame on them.

I'm watching through the Amazon Video app built into my TV, and not only is the sound perfect but the 4K Ultra HD picture quality is incredible.

The first one I downloaded had the sound problems. I watched the start of another online one and it was the same. Third time lucky, I found a proper version.

(This is all fiction, I pay for all my TV watching, obviously)

Absolutely, it jolly well serves them right.

FWIW I loved it and will watch it again during the week as I missed some bits due to laughing too loudly (then coughing as I was laughing so much).

I thought the first episode was terrible, posted a review saying so, and then just had the fan-boys jumping all over me. We can't all agree.

I watched it in 1080p with great sound.

All depends where you 'shop'!

Not really a good idea to post such a silly review on here, of course people jumped all over it, you look even more stupid at this point.

And don't you mean the majority?

Why spread such a poor review around like you're proud of this lol

Just read the replies he made to comments, or best not click it at all.

Where was the racism?

Although I don't think that was a good review, it needed more balance, it's just your opinion so can't argue with that and I never see the point insulting other peoples reviews/opinion as I can just judge for myself, don't know why some take it personal.

The bog standard chat section was a little more in depth in the second episode.

Agreed. A missed capital at the start and too many ellipses lead to a review that comes across as a mash of ideas and apparently ranting for ranting's sake. Also, as reviews go that's barely more than a forum post - do you have a restricted word count?

In fairness, re the 'missing audio' from the trio, my son has the full
legal Amazon package, and the sound on his was terrible until the
next day, when they apparently corrected it! So it's not ALL down to
dodgy downloads! Sometimes, it;s just down to 'variable' technology
either at the transmission end, or the recieving end!

The Special Forces item could have been great, but instead of setting out an actual challenge, they made an awfully scripted comedy sketch that had no humour at all.

The celeb bit got stale after the second person was killed in the last episode, this needs to go asap.

The best bit was JM going to the spinning event, but it would have been nice to have him interview the people there?”

Agree with you both although I didn't think the second episode was awful, the car spinning bit was interesting as both of you have also mentioned. Couldn't believe it when the driver with May got out the car while it was still going!!! Had a few laughs with some of the clips shown at the Conversation Street part but that was about it for me.

I also wish they cut the faux celeb interview part as well, mildly amusing first time, needless the second time.

Confirmed by it's late arrival on the torrent scene this week whilst they sorted out the audio. Early don't care sites just put up the dreadful audio versions in their desperation to be first.

Write a controversial review and then get people to click-bait you own site.

Just watched it and overall it was pretty terrible. We all know the programmes are scripted but this feels overly scripted with no natural flow

In most folks eyes CHM and can do virtually no wrong. I reckon if this had been an episode of TG, it would have been absolutley slaughtered.

Early days yet still needs to find a winning format, most segments seem very drawn out

Agree I am not enjoying it as much as TG. The chemistry seems different somehow. I used to enjoy the scripted dialogue and the set ups but I'm not finding them funny this time round. Still it's early days I suppose.

Please note that with DVDfever if you do not agree with the negative reviews you are a fanboys. They have made this clear many times before in many threads and this is why as a reviewer they will never be taken seriously - that and their lack of aptitude and talent in this area!

I agree Brian, clickbait is all it is.

I must admit to enjoying the GT so far. We watch it on a Sunday and it feels comfortable and just right

Ditch the American driver and replace him with the obvious.......Jenson.

If episode two were to be the template for future eps, I like it. It suggests it might be more of a skit/ funny film clip show than necessarily a car show, but that's no bad thing in my book (although I did love the Vulcan; my God that was sexy ). Their talents these days aren't in car journalism as such, it's in arseing about doing outrageous million dollar skits, and they do it very well. I could even learn to love Celeb Brain Crash if they use continue to use an actor from the host country and kill them off in ways that are outrageous, but somehow typical and/ or unique to the country they're in.

They just need to lose the Yank driver (or at least don't try to make him a 'character').

Has anyone signed up their new social network Drivetribe? I just found the website:

https://drivetribe.com/welcome

It's a bit annoying that currently you can only join if you have a Facebook account (twitter logins are coming soon it says). What if someone who wants to join has neither of those?

No I'm genuinely enjoying it, if I didn't I would have stopped watching by now. Don't know why people need to look for a reason why others like it.

It's always going to be compared to Top Gear but I'm treating it as a new show (as it should be) not all TG fans will like the new formula, but it has to be slightly different.

Second episode was much better than the first, i was howling when he kept getting shot by the sniper, they were shooting each other, and he shot the Queen in the back of the head

Not keen on the guests getting killed all the time though, stupid that.
