Where have you heard this? I've seen nothing on their social media pages.

Loving it if so

The bit about filming the new season was in an interview Clarkson gave a while ago

Why did they stay in Whitby for another week?

All this talk about 'The Grand Tour' & then they spend two episodes in a dreary Yorkshire town!

They can do something like that in Barbados, maybe, but not Yorkshire!

Why's that is it against the law?

Whitby is far from dreary, better than anything Barbados has to offer.

TGT the most illegally downloaded show in history.

No surprise there then.

That's the Daily Mail for you - quantifying something you can't quantify. Besides, everyone knows the most illegally pirated show are all my amazing vlogs

Why would people want a fuzzy picture when you can get a months trial free?

More to the point wy would you want to illigally deprive people of money that they have earned .It's theft just like shoplifting is theft , Honest people pay more in the end whether its a bottle of gin from tesco or a film online because someone is too cheap to pay and think they deserve everything free

I think linkinpark875 meant the torrents will be fuzzy, but they will be good quality actually.

The free trial is for Prime in 4k and if you complain about a delivery not arriving you will get another month free

And I ain't surprised as the hype is huge for the show,

Well, it is quantifiable, just as anything that goes across the internet is quantifiable if you're looking at the 'right' data, which one assumes the company mentioned would be. I just don't see how it's possible.

Are they saying that the three or four episodes of TGT have been downloaded more times than the sixty odd episodes of GoT? Maybe if they're comparing the first three episodes of each show, but that's hardly a like for like comparison.

The tent is a colossal waste of time. It is only used to show the star being "killed" in the locality (yawn). I am surprised that there isn't more of a connection between the location of the tent and the main film in each show.

No, no, no. In my world, they took to the road with a tent to allow more people to see the show

...and let them get up close to the Unholy Trio and maybe even touch them!

They've got to put the audience somewhere, so it might as well be the "tent", or rather a studio dressed up as a tent. It less echo than the Dunsfold hangar they used previously so is better all round.

The tent isn't just used for the star guest death joke. It's also used for Conversation Street, introducing the film, presenting lap times and audience interaction. In other words, it's no different to how they used the hangar previously except that the test cars aren't present (which is no great loss).

TBH I'm finding TGT very much better than I expected. The US episode was patchy, but South Africa and the two Whitby shows were top quality entertainment. The trio back at their best.

I didn't know Whitby had miles of sun drenched, palm fringed, white sand beaches with warm blue water to swim in. I must visit.

The Mail article mentions the number of illegal downloads for the each of the first three episodes, so I took it that "the most illegally downloaded programme ever" was a per episode comparison. It doesn't make sense otherwise (but it is the Mail Online, so making sense is a secondary issue).

I don't understand why this is coming across as so scripted compared to TG. It all seems so forced.

Top Gear always was obviously scripted, but I think the TGT scripts are better than the later CHM Top Gear shows. Certainly much better written than the latest Top Gear series.

Top Gear was also scripted to within an inch of its life; that's one of the criticisms that was forever being laid at its door.

These kind of shows need tight scripting or they'd be chaotic messes & then we would definitely have something to complain about.

The killing of the star is just repetitive nonsense, just like Chris Evans' "who had the best car" crap in new TG. Both should have been dropped after week one.

PS I am not a troll and will keep watching because there is definitely possibilities there but they just haven't quite hit on the right formula yet IMO.”

Agree with your sentiments here, especially your first and last sentence, there is still time for the tweaks I feel it needs.

That said some genuine laughs from the fourth episode and thought the Hammond parking sensor was genius!!! But I also felt the challenge dragged on a bit.and I wish they lose the celebrity killing bit now.
