I'm the opposite. Why stream when you can just download in minutes and watch off-line whenever and wherever you want?

I guess that a hand-written one (or a "rustic" one) would be considered Top Gear territory.

Agree with the special guest star killing thing.
The TV series Police Squad used to do that in the 80s, but that was part of the show. On TGT, it was funny during episode 1 & continuing to episode 2 would have been funny, but there's no need for it now. |

I haven't read the whole thread, so this may have been said, but The Grand Tour - TGT - Top Gear Two. As coincidental as J982FKL?
Uncanny eh? No? Oh well. |

Thought I'd give it a go and managed 3 minutes of episode 1 before I had to turn it off. Thank god for showbox.

As for those who insist on talking about people pirating TGT, here is an article that rubbishes the Daily Fail's article.

Episode 5 was the strongest it was good all the way through, the last section at part of the Game Of Thrones set was my favorite I loved that bit.

This is the second episode in which The American hasn't appeared.

Agree it felt the least scripted so far and more like the old TG. Also note no rubbish "American" which I've read, and not sure was mentioned in the first ep, was a contractual obligation which of course could be bs.

I thought I was quite poor this week. Long way off what Top Gear use to be.

Definitely the best and most relaxed so far. No American driver was a plus - I would love to play their version of 'battleships', would like to see celebrities interviewed about their cars etc but maybe that's too close to Top Gear I. I would get rid of the dais and all the seating in the tent; they all work well bouncing off the audience.

I thought it was the best one yet, but the running joke of 'two presenters doing the film only for the third to turn up unannounced' is getting a bit old now!

I thought the Battleships sequence went on a bit too long, but overall it was still a good episode. It's hard to believe that they didn't foresee what would happen to the MX-5 once it started driving off the scales, but if it was staged it was at least well-acted.
I would rank the episodes so far in order from best to worst: 4-3-5-1-2. I suspect in a later episode we will get a road trip that is supposed to be for Clarkson and Hammond only, only for May to turn up "unannounced", just to complete the set. |

Isn't there a Christmas special planned? I believe it's the 7th episode.

I say this every Friday but that was the best episode for me so far. Loved the battleship game, could have watched that for a whole hour, the black and white cinematography of the Alfa Romeo was beautifully done and loved the race around the studio sets.

Morocco was a good backdrop for this latest episode.

Episode 5 is the best episode yet. Morocco looked fabulous and the battleships game was brilliant.

How about having celebs on for a chat and then them playing a smaller version of battleships? Hmm maybe difficult as the tent moves from country to country.
