Yep excellent last night. As people have said May's bit was especially good.

Finland isn't in 'Scandinavia' which the three should have picked up from the cat-calls even if the researchers had missed it. Scandinavia is Denmark, Noway and Sweden and though there are Swedish speakers in south-western Finland and some cultural similarities, Finns proudly see themselves as having a distinct and independent identity.
The term which links Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Estonia and sometimes the other Baltic states is 'Nordic'.

Yes, episode 6 could have been embarrassing too. (Though most 10-year olds would have had some sex education?)

Didn't take long for the first episode to be available to watch for free on the Amazon website. I expect the rest to follow at some point.

Unlikely. Amazon very often make the first show of a series available to tempt people into buying a subscription.

And on holiday periods, both Google Play and Amazon run special offers on a number of programmes/films. This is probably no different

Just started watching the Finnish one. Wonder what gratuitous use of dead animals they'll employ this time? DH is seriously considering cancelling our subscription.

I'm very surprised it's free already, I'm guessing it's a Christmas present going off the recent facebook post.

It's only free over Christmas...also known as 'get your Christmas money spent on a Prime subscription'

Sorry, a re-posting. I'll slink away now.

How old must I be to hate with a PASSION the reference that something has "dropped" when they mean released, or is now available?

When you hear about a company working on a new idea and then developing it into a product, and then you hear that they've dropped it, for years I used to think it meant that they'd just given up on the whole thing. I'm old.

They didn't kill any animals. You do realise it's staged and scripted?

Excellent! Just finished watching and this is the best so far.

The slightly awkwardly scripted'ness' was less evident and the three worked well together. Some real laugh out loud moments and also some very interesting (May GT40 v P3) segments.

Hopefully this is the way forward

I even quite liked the American and the brief star (although he would have made a genuinely interesting guest)

Better, but still Hammond is too forced and this episode in particular highlighted how much May is being underused.

I'm starting to question the $4.5 million per episode. I believe that is much the same as 'Game of Thrones' and I'm struggling to see where the money's going.

With the exception of the first episode I get the impression that they're on a tight budget.

Why would a $4.5 million one hour production have about 10 minutes of talking about chocolate bars?

Wilman and Clarkson have both said on many occasions the $4.5 per episode is nonsense and it's no where near that

In that case it makes the show far more plausible.

Much more like it this week. Excellent all round episode. Even the celeb "killing" was mercifully brief. 9/10.

Whatever the budget may be, $4.5 million per programme or not, a significant percentage is going into the pockets of Messrs Clatkson, Hammond, May and Wilman before a second of footage is produced. That might explain why they've occasionally scrimped and saved in other areas.

I only have one rule in life:

If someone wants to give me enormous amounts of money and they don't want to have sex with me, I take it!*

*For some special people, I throw the sex in for free!
