I watch via an Amazon Fire TV Box. It’s quite a bit more than the Fire TV Stick (£79 compared to £35) but it’s an impressive piece of kit.
I’ve had mine a year now and it’s the best streaming box I’ve ever had (better than Roku). Along with Amazon Prime it’s great for all the major catch up services (iPlayer, ITV Hub etc.) and YouTube. Yes, its heavily geared towards pushing Amazon content, but if you’re a Prime subscriber that should be an issue.
Both the Box and Stick are full price at the moment but I expect them to come down to £59 and £19 respectively around Black Friday and Christmas.

That’s correct. Amazon have stated they will be looking to sell the programme to traditional broadcasters in territories where their Amazon Prime service isn’t available, although I’m not aware of any deals being done yet. I suspect in a lot of cases The Grand Tour will actually air on the same channels as Top Gear did and does.

A video has just appeared on the Grand Tour facebook that it will be available to stream on amazon for all non prime countires from December so no traditional broadcasters by the looks of it

Good news to those who don't get it in their country on the 18th.

Amazon won't release streaming figures, but they must hope for 1 million within the first 7 days...the real money will be with the blu-ray sales and new Prime subscriptions...

But as I said, that’s not to say The Grand Tour won’t be the first. I actually think there’s a fair chance it’ll be available on DVD within a year of its Amazon premier.”

Amazon originals are released on DVD region 2 and also as downloads for the UK. For instance two of their most popular Outlander and Bosch.

Good luck with that, I can’t see it lasting long on YouTube. Have you ever tried to watch the latest series of something like Game of Thrones on YouTube?

Outlander gets a UK DVD release – but isn’t an Amazon Original (it airs on Starz in the US, Amazon just have the UK rights).
Bosch gets a Region 2 DVD release by a Scandinavian distributer, but not a UK DVD release.

My challenge still stands - I don't believe any Amazon Original has ever had a UK DVD release (but, again, I'm not saying The Grand Tour won't be the first).

Not a chance with this within minutes any episode will be removed, or a worldwide instant block.

I'm not surprised your challenge still stands, you keep changing the criteria, you originally said "released on DVD", I gave some examples which were quickly dismissed because they were either region 1, region 4 or region 2 imports, now they can only be UK DVD releases.

I'm pretty sure there aren't any region 2 UK DVD releases, but just in case I do come across one, can the releases be anytime or just when there's a Y in the month......

I reckon there's a good chance we could see The Grand Tour making its way to DVD, because its not the first time an Amazon original has made its way to DVD, we could even see it on Bluray or even UHD Bluray, because I don't think just prime membership is going to recoup much of the budget spent on this series.

Roll on Friday, really looking forward to the new show.

I started the free trail and it says it costs £7.99 next month how do I get the £5.99 opinion?

Also do you have to pay for the movies? It says rent but it's on the app? Is it a separate charge to prime for the films?

You get some free movies as part of Amazon Prime, but for a lot of other movies you have to pay a fee if you want to rent them. The choice of free movies on Amazon Prime isn't great.

As for the Grand Tour, interesting that no episodes seem to be getting released for the media to review in advance.

Is it just the one who which say 'Prime'?

Any ideas how to change my account to video only for £5.99? £7.99 is a bit steep.

Try going to amazon.co.uk > your account > look for 'manage your prime membership'.

And anything that has Prime on the video you don't have to pay for.

It just ticks music included is it because it's a free trail I can't change it as I assume they want you to try a full membership?

When I signed up it was on £7.99 by default, I had to change it. If you're on the free trial you can cancel now and you'll still get the free month, and sign up again but make sure you change membership to £5.99.

Cool so if I don't cancel it will charge £7.99 is it better to cancel and rejoin or leave it and it will let me edit it after the trail?

If you don't cancel you will be charged £7.99 this time next month, cancel it now and you won't. So I'd say cancel it now and rejoin after the free month with the £5.99 option.

But like others have said, there'll probably be an offer on Amazon Prime on Black Friday, so maybe cancel and wait to see.

I am 95% certain that any normal employee would have to be terminated if they physically assaulted a follow worker, regardless of the situation. I'm 100% certain that a manager would be terminated.

As Clarkson was the most 'senior' person involved with Top Gear I personally can't see anyway that the BBC could do anything other than refuse to renew his contract. That's my 'HR view' and not necessary what I would like to see personally, but companies don't have a lot of room for manaevour - especially publicly funded ones. ,”

And now his claims about an airport incident appear to be unravelling...

Quote:
“In a rant Clarkson called the worker a 'ignorant little worm' who will 'pay for it', adding: 'He marched off looking pleased with himself, no doubt to enjoy a disgusting dinner of refried beans'.

But this morning, Stuttgart Airport bosses told MailOnline that Clarkson and his team had 'missed several calls' for the flight and insisted the worker involved was Spanish not Argentinian. The worker also said he is from Spain and denies it ever happened saying: ' I would never say such a thing'.

Clarkson told The Sun that he and Grand Tour co-host James May and Richard Hammond had a beer in the airport lounge before heading to the gate 'on time'.”

It is astonishing what people will ignore and accept because people like a programme or image portrayed on screen.

I'm sure the publicity generated can't be bad for the programme.

I can’t be bothered to go back and find my original post, but I thought I said that no Amazon Original programme has been released on DVD in the UK. If I missed off the ‘in the UK’ bit I apologise. But I did (maybe incorrectly) assume we were talking about the possibility of The Grand Tour being released on DVD in this country - not having to import a region 1 or 4 version from the US or Australia, buy some Scandinavian release, or buy an illegal copy (as per your examples).

I do agree with you though, I suspect The Grand Tour will get a UK DVD release, and probably on BluRay or UHD too.

Now confirmed – it’ll ‘go live’ at 12:01am on 18/11 (so I suspect some might be having a late night tonight).

They have a daily fashion programme that streams for free, I'm not aware of any regional restrictions for that.

If you want to be really picky, now Amazon own Twitch, any Twitch-produced programming could also count in this context.

I was wondering this too... and how is it actually going to work?

I’m in the UK, and a Prime subscriber... but let’s say I live in Spain (where Prime isn’t available). Come December, how can I watch The Grand Tour as Amazon has promised? Would I have to pay to stream it via their website – and if so, is this the first time they’ve offered an on demand streaming service via their website in these countries?
