Honestly I don't see it being a big ask, people avoiding a thread for a day or so. But I guess most people don't see it that way. I just thought it would make for a deeper and more compelling discussion having both groups share their thoughts, that's all.
In the Walking Dead Thread the US viewers are allowed to talk about it straight after they have seen the show, what you were suggesting was for them to not bother talking about it for a couple of days.

People like to come on here and talk about an episode straight after they have seen it so a duel pace thread where people avoid the thread till after they've seen the latest episode usually works ok (you'll still get some people complaining about spoilers though) .

A Duel pace thread where nobody is allowed to talk about an episode till 2 days after it's initially aired would not work at all.

I think this explains it quite well. Potential spoilers though!

One of the more interesting theories I've heard is that the Delos representative could be the MiB's daughter. I would expect Ford to know who the MiB's family were though so probably just another bit of wild speculation.

Still really enjoying the show despite it being a total mindf**k!
I agree with most of the theories on there. I wasn't really onboard with the real identity of Wyatt one but the pictures on there (especially in the spoiler section) do paint a convincing picture.

I don't think Charlotte is MiB's daughter though.

I agree. I can see how people can get confused with two threads running, but people like to talk about an episode as soon as they've watched it. It would probably be easier if the UK viewers ignored the thread for a couple of days until they've seen the latest episode.

No wonder people are confused - actually I said to my wife at the end of ep8 that I did not know what timeline Maeve was in so it made it hard to know what is a flashback and what is present time. Things are making sense now, thought I'm prepared for a huge twist.

One thing is for sure I adore this show, absolutely fascinating stuff.

I hadn't even worked out that the 'Wyatt spy' & the Westworld welcoming hostess were the same girl - that's how rubbish I am... (Then I had the OH shouting in my ear, "Hang on, she was in St Trinian's!", lol...)

Thandie Newton is getting better and better. Will be interesting to see when she gathers her army. You know what's going to happen.

I would be furious if I was an HBO boss. The producers/writers have spent a fortune on what is clearly going to be a very niche show. It's a bit like that BSG prequel. All very interesting but hardly mass market. I don't think it will get a third season. Sorry, being negative again!
I'm not sure.....I think it has enough elements to make it more than just a niche show!

If you think of something like Breaking Bad, on paper that series and storyline sounds absurd, but the acting and writing rise above this .

Westworld , as well as being an old fashioned wild west show, with guns etc...is about what makes us human, and different from a walking talking machine, and the perennial struggle of good vs evil. In a way Bernard is more 'human; in his emotions than Ford, and can feel regret and sadness.

Once the characters are more established and we can identify who they are a bit better, there are loads of story lines to tell.

I like her too, but what she's doing is scaring me - the idea of that lot breaking out and causing mayhem gives me the heebie-jeebies! (Particularly if she recruits all the 'retired' ones in the basement - there's all sorts of 'malfunctions' down there, eep! )

I can't help but feel her recruiting the retired hosts is just too obvious. Mind you I can't think why they are being kept by the Delos corporation anyway, so the only explanation for them being in the show is as a Chekhov's gun.

It's gonna be great when they are all awoken and revolt. I wonder if Robert will be programmed to turn on Dr Ford.

Good point, I hadn't thought of that. (Perhaps they're seen as we see old computers - chuck them in a storeroom until you can't get any more in, then hire a skip? Or use them for spare parts? In Humans, they all seem to end up down at the tip..)

I know what you want - you just want a Westworld-style 'zombie apocalypse' scenario, don't you? (A complete squelching bloodbath of rampaging hosts - shall we see if George Romero is free to direct that episode, lol?)

lol It makes it more creepy that we don't know yet if some of the humans are real or robots. So it will be interesting to see what happens when Thandie gives the order and certain characters do things we weren't expecting. Or if some of the robots will go against her orders and rebel against her.

Was Hale's choice of Dolores' original father deliberate or meant to be coincidence?

Hale and Sizemore went to the basement for a decommissioned host and picked Dolores' father who was removed in Ep 1.

They were looking for a host that they could sneak out of the park disguised as a guest. But the hosts that have been decommissioned for a long time seem to be slightly decayed. Their skin is discoloured and shiny, and I think in episode 1 somebody remarked on the smell of the storage vault. So the choice of hosts was limited, and from that point of view it is not surprising that they picked Abernathy.

Their plan is to reprogram the host with a new personality. But Hale and Sizemore don't know Abernathy had become self-aware in episode 1. I'm predicting that this will not end well.

Not about the show itself, mostly about MiB's motivation and whether he appears or not for S2... The rest of the interview is to do the Sam Shepard play Ed is appearing in in the West End.

It does seem a rather clumsy piece of plot contrivance for a show with such a celebrated scriptwriter.

Regarding the Andrew Marr show...
Spoiler
