Because it's not working.

Probably but I for one don't feel any sympathy for him at all. He's shown himself to be a petty man-child and Rhona is best off without him!

This is the worst thing he has ever done, trashing a disabled boy's home.

There was zero emotional depth to his affair with Tess and he came out of the whole thing looking an absolute shit. Almost sociopathic - not a good look on an everyday sort like Paddy.
I don't feel sorry for him in the slightest. The character is about ten years past his sell by. He worked with Mandy and Emily but I never saw what Rhona saw in him. |

I don't feel sorry for Paddy one bit! He screwed everything up in the first place by having an affair. He would probably either be still seeing Tess or leaving Rhona for her if she was still alive. He's acting like an ungracious pillock!

I don't feel sorry for Paddy either, awful character easily the worst in Emmerdale who seems to be getting worse instead of better, would be happy if he went back to Germany and was never seen or spoken of again, awful man.

There's such a long line of dislikeable Emmerdale characters at the moment
![]() It's saying something when I prefer Surly Serf to a lot of formerly decent characters

The whole situation is of his own making, so no, I feel no sympathy for him. Rhona is better off with Psycho Pierce than with Humpty Dumpty Paddy.

I certainly don't feel any sympathy for Paddy at all and in fact found myself cheering when he found Leo's picture with Mummy and Pierce
and when Pearl told him to get out of Rhona and Pierce's house Silly awful man, he needs much more humiliation before I could even begin to consider feeling anything positive towards him.

I hope not.
It's doing the opposite for me. was willing for Pierce and Rhona to come home early and to throw Paddy out on his knees. I honestly don't see why Chas and Marlon are tiptoeing around him rather than telling him to grow up and accept the consequences of his actions. Paddy can wreck his ex's home where a young disabled boy lives (who he's supposed to care about) but oh no, poor Paddy can't have his precious little feelings hurt. He hasn't mentioned going back to Germany again yet, I wish Emmerdale wouldn't tease me like this. The stupid thing is is that Pierce will most likely end up doing something to Rhona and Paddy will be there to save the day, allowing them to get back together like he didn't stomp all over their marriage for months with Tess.

Zero sympathy for Paddy! But just like Marlon, I think we're supposed to love these characters!
Rhona's best off away. I'd rather they brought back Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley) to partner up with Paddy. |

I used to like Paddy, particularly with his inter-action with Aaron, but he is so stupid at the moment which he really is not. And isn't the cottage his house anyway? Not approving of the trashing of course.

Paddy's s behaviour reminds me f those Father's 4 Justice guys. He' all be dressing up as Batman to get Rhona's s attention next!. I understand that he can't t accept his relationship is over though, although I'M m not sure what he's s really expecting from Rhona. He was away for months, so of course Rhona saw it as the end of their relationship and moved on.

I worry a bit about Pierce as there is something a bit odd about him and of course, he has obliterated any bit of Paddy in the house.
What was the agreement when he went off to Germany? Nothing seemed to have been thought through and I don't think it was right that Pearl asked for the keys back and similarly not right for Paddy to go into the house uninvited. It all seems a bit of a mess to me. |

I don't think that we are.
If we were, Marlon and Chas would be fighting his corner. It's all being set up so that Paddy can save the day when Peirce loses it. Hopefully Rhona still won't want to get back with him after the fact. |

I did laugh when Carly said about luring Paddy out with food and Chas replied "he's not a Labrador"

I did like him, but he's now gone off the rails completely and it's hard to find any sympathy for him. They shouldn't have brought him back IMO.
Characters like Paddy & Marlon are not as popular as they once were and can't get away with all the bad stuff they might have used to. |

There is no coming back for the character from that act, despicable ! |
