Still convinced he's faking the memory loss and, again as I thought, it looks like he is manipulating his nurse into having sympathy for him. She'll either end up his next victim or try and help him escape, mark my words.

This series is so cliched and predictable. Just watching it as I love Gilllian Anderson. They really should leave it at Series three.

I actually don't mind stretching this out. I actually like the fact they have stuck with the one case. I know some want it concluded but real life isn't like how it is on normal detective shows so while some elements have been far fetched it is at least showing how difficult it is for the police and cps to build up cases for trail even if they have a shit load of evidence..
Some might say about the far-fetched nature at times, but you only have to take a casual look through actual cases to realise that life can be much stranger at times. |

he definately knows he did it - he is faking his memory loss in my opinion and that makes him even more chilling as he is very convincing! Katie is going to go wacko on someone as well - not sure who, either Stella or Rose I think its Sally Ann that is tugging at my heart strings atm - she has been absolutely devastated by events and the pain on her face is heart breaking - I just hope she doesnt do something stupid.......... |

Yeah its not your run of the mill cop show, they have done something really different with The Fall - not easy in this day and age.

i'll be disappointed if he's out-and-out faking his memory loss, it would be very cliched and realistically i think nigh on impossible for someone just out of a coma to be able to do that.
Of course ulitimately he's able to do what the writers decide but exploring how to deal with and punish a man for crimes he has no memory of is something that I find fascinating. If it just devolves into another superhuman killer outwits his captors thing then it will be a missed opportunity. |

I am worried about Sally and the children in the car on the beach. Will she drive into the sea?

I think the nurse will fall for him and end up helping him get out.
I agree about Stella's voice. Just cough for god's sake.

On the matter of pace of S3, is this definitely the last series of The Fall? In other words will it all have to be wrapped up in the next 3 episodes?

Oh dear! It isn't quite a plane crashing on Emmerdale but, at times, it's getting there with his wife drugging their children and driving onto a beach waiting for the tide to come in. Perhaps a dog walker will spot the danger in time? Be careful of depressed mothers bearing milky drinks
![]() This is a pity because at other times it's exploring quite profound issues around culpability, complicity and evil. I wonder if the producers pushed the writer towards soapifying the plot line. Also, a bit of research would clearly help to differentiate the roles of psychiatrist / psychologist rather than conflating them. What went on in London before 2002? Is ACC Burns going to go down in flames? What about Katie? Is Stella the new Mother Teresa? The final shot of Spector looking at the camera in a way that suggested, to me, that he was faking the amnesia was a bit unsubtle. Dramatic licence apart, the whole strategic amnesia plot needs to be carefully handled otherwise it will undermine other aspects of the series. |

I think that's her intention, but I don't think she'll go through with it. It would be a bit grim if she did kill herself and the children, even by The Fall's standards. Guess we'll see next week. By the way, if you're not aware, the final two episodes are on consecutive nights. Thursday 27th and Friday 28th October. |

A mass murderer and no armed guard at the door?
Why take the handcuffs off him when he was being questioned for court. And why does Gibson not cough to clear her throat ![]() So obvious where this is going. But poor children and wife ![]() |

The lack of police presence around Spector at the hospital is just not believable, It's not like he is accused of shoplifting, this is a suspected serial killer we're talking about! The police should be watching him like hawks at all times, especially after the monumental f-up that allowed him almost to get killed while in their custody. And given the nature of the crimes he is accused of, surely they would assign a male nurse to handle his care, not an attractive female that bears a resemblance to his past victims? I'm all for suspending disbelief but this part of the story is just silly.

I think he is faking. The way he got out of bed and was doing stretching exercises, and then shortly after he needed help to get his sweatshirt on. It just feels fake ... and he is doing it very well. His nurse is definitely falling under his spell and I think she will help him escape. I think he will escape on the last episode, kill the nurse - and then it will be back to cat and mouse trying to find him again.
As for Mum and her kids - I felt quite teary watching that scene. Such desperation. She obviously wants all that's good in the car with her and for them to go together. Very sad and I hope she doesn't succeed. However, if she does that might give Spector another reason for revenge (in his sick mind). |
