At last! A better episode and Spector got a fair bit of dialogue! And a bit of story too! We've been spoiled!!

Am I the only one who finds Larson's voice and accent totally mesmerising?

Where is the evidence to charge him with murder? Did the other guy spill the beans?

Spector's nurse broke confidentiality by telling him about another patient and that's patient's relative's age

I fast through a lot of scenes involving Paul and Stella. So much staring off onto space. I'd like to know what happens in the end but gawd I find them both so utterly tedious.

I'm really enjoying the slow exploration of the mind of a psychopath and how the professionals interact and work with him. This isn't really the show for people who just want lots of action all the time and a Big Bang ending.

He did, but he also revealed how he felt about the crimes the other patient had committed, letting Spector know that he would hold him in similar contempt. Not really the "respectful scepticism" staff had been asked to use.

Ditto. I must have dozed off about 4 times tonight and had to keep rewinding.

Easily the best episode of the series. First rate script, direction and performances. Let's hope tomorrow doesn't let us down.

You don't watch Krister Henriksson as Wallander then? I'm used to him - but not used to him speaking in English! His voice is indeed quite relaxing to listen to.

Enjoyed that episode tonight - personally I'm pleased they've carried on down the road of Spector not remembering as this angle isn't usually explored in crime series. Interesting, if harrowing, to hear more about Spector's childhood too.

I thought this was deffo Dornan's last series though. If The Fall comes back it will be with a new story of some sort.

Do you? I find them fascinating particularly Stella. I always like those 'ice queen' type characters because there's so much that's unexpressed going on under the surface. [I might be biased 'cause I'm introverted too so I get those kind of reticent characters. I personally find Heart on Sleeve people who constantly babble on 'tedious'.] A psychological thriller like this was always going to have an introverted cop (Myers Briggs type INTJ by my reckoning) as the protagonist - it's not one of those bombastic, fast-paced shows. Not sure why people would find that boring - there are other cops with lots of 'layers' to their characters too e.g. Sarah Lund, Saga Noren.

I actually get the impression that Larsen finds her fascinating as well (discussing her dreams on the phone) - would like to see quite a few more scenes with him not so subtly trying to psycho-analyse her.

Interesting seeing a phone conversation between DS Anderson and ACC Burns seeing as Colin Morgan played Merlin and John Lynch played his father Balinor on the show on a couple of occasions. (Merlin that is).

I really would like to see Justice where Spector/Baldwin is behind bars or detained indefinitely but I am worried this may not happen

a much better episode than last week.

interesting watching Stella intently watching Spector's reactions during the last interview as Tom showed the photos and gave the information.

how did people feel knowing what Spector suffered as a child - you cannot forgive what he's done obviously but knowing what he'd gone through in that childrens' home - do people feel differently towards him? Plays with your emotions a bit!

No idea if the memory loss is real but i don't think we're meant to believe it with his knowing looks. I thought he was asking the ginger haired guy questions about his diagnosis in case he wanted to adopt those symptoms? how horrendous was his crime!

now looking forward to the final episode. hope the ending warrants sitting through a second series though.

God this series has been slow, I'll watch until the bitter end just to see if Spector gets what's coming to him - I wont be happy if justice isn't served - but I'll be glad when it's over.

I think that Spector is likely to get his comeuppance at the hands of the other inmate and if so the fourth series might be about the repercussions from that event.

That's what I think too. Posted that on here yesterday. The ginger nut will do him in.

So you FF through the scenes with the two main characters?! Why do you even bother watching it.

One has to wonder what on earth you're watching this for . Obviously a wrong choice of programme if you've no idea what Cubitt's intention is . Exploration of the mind of the psychopath must indeed be tedious tho for those not interested in much beyond thrills and spills .
Agreeing with others in here who said that was the best ,most revealing. interesting episode so far this series.
We should at this point focus on the title and what it means I think, to realise what the outcome might be . Far too late to see any kind of court scenes ,jury decisions in my opinion unless there's a big jump forward in time.
I do see scenes set now for a further series .

I hope we find out why ACC Burns is in a perpetual booze-fueled meltdown.

I'm finding the cod psychology quite entertaining. Belfast looks gorgeous - such a missed opportunity not further exploring it.

It says in my TV guide that his new friendship leads to an "explosive ending" so does that mean literally, an explosion or just that he kills him, or vice-versa?

I think the ginger nut will go berserk and attack him after Spector spurns his sexual advances.

It would be extremely rushed if they managed to get a trial and verdict wrapped up in the final episode considering they are still gathering evidence but what we know so far is this appears to be his last series so bearing that in mind it's likely he will either be killed or kill himself unless it does drag on into another series
