Wow, two episodes in and I'm absolutely loving it. I don't think it's got a high profile over here, so it might have passed you by, but you really should check it out. It's directed by Greg Yaitanes (Banshee), and is on Cinemax in the States.

First episode was a stunner, and the second has a trademark Yaitanes unusual-POV shot of a car chase, shot entirely from inside the car.

I really hope it gets the viewers, because it might be the best show on TV currently - and it's always great to see Peter Mullan.

Loved Banshee (well until the final season) so hoped this series would be a winner too. Unfortunately it ain't for me. The time period in which is it set and the actors don't do it for me.

I read about this and definitely sounds like something I'd like. Any news if it'll be aired in the UK?

I'm really enjoying it. It's dark and violent, but very interesting. They've captured the period well and the detail is good.

I watched the pilot a couple of nights ago and thought it was well done. Captured the heavy atmosphere nicely, but for me that is perhaps the snag because I don't always enjoy shows that convey such a gloomy mood. Depends a bit on my mood at the time of watching I suppose, but I am "sleeping on it" for a while to decide if I want to venture into a second episode.

The last 2 episodes were somewhat gruesome but holy shit you know why he is the way he is.

Anyone have news on a second season?

Watching it now. Not sure what to make of it so far.

Recognized Nikki Amuka Bird from Luther, and Marlo ( The Wire).

It's pretty good. Very atmospheric. The lead actor reminds me of Tom Hardy. Peter Mullen is pretty scary.

I spent the whole episode trying to work out what else I'd seen him in, then I remembered that he played the crybaby son of the Senator in 24, Richard Heller.
