Daisy Gill was scouted by producers, but even scouted acts are sometimes put on reserves (I think Ben Haenow was scouted and put on reserves too, but he obviously got to perform). There are a lot of scouted contestants who are either not aired or do not get very far in the competition, they only show a select few of scouted contestants on TV.
Most scouted acts don't even get past the first producer audition they go to.

'scouted' just means a researcher contacted them, sometimes just by a tweet or youtube comment, and asked them to apply.

they do it to 1000s of acts, they send open emails to stage schools asking their students to apply, etc.

People act as if being scouted means something special and it's all a fix when it's not at all.

It's so general, you might as well also say those that auditioned after seeing the TV advert for applications were also scouted.

Everyone is mic'ed up, which is how you get those annoying comments from the holding room during auditions
Not everyone, just the one's that they choose, they chose her, she was picked for this little skit.

"It was not staged, however I agree how its been shown looks like it was. Ill be doing a Q&A live on Facebook soon!🎵"

XF has become so overtly manipulative, that even when there might possibly be a hint of something spontaneous, no one believes it anymore.

The show that cried wolf, if you will.

I think this is all getting a little over-analysed now.

I'm out, as the Dragons say.

That's your decision, but on the previous page you may have missed where I posted how Daisy Gill has ADMITTED in youtube comments that the girl who she SPONTANEOUSLY walked into the audition room with was indeed Kirsty - if that's not proof then I don't know what is tbh.

I thought this thread would be an opportunity to engage in intellectual discussion about my argument (with evidence to back it up) but instead people have completely ignored it and are just going with what they saw on the telly and can't get past the "X Factor is staged" mindset and realise there are exceptions.

I definitely think you guys are jumping to assumptions. Sure it definitely LOOKS staged, and a lot of people are condemning her for not "waiting her turn". But in actual fact, she would never have had her turn had she not done what she did.

If you looked at the first link I posted http://www.mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-news/x...claims-8206163 you'll find that some contestants are put on "reserves" lists where they have to wait up to 10 hours to audition and may or may not get seen by the judges. After all that time waiting, these reserves (including Daisy Gill in the link I posted, as well as Kirsty Murphy) were told by the producers that they would not be seen by the judges. So Daisy (along with Kirsty) then attempt to burst into the audition room angry about how they had been treated, filmed as unpaid extras on the show and having to waste a whole day without even getting to perform (but Daisy is held back by "an apologetic researcher"). In her youtube video, Daisy refers to going in with a friend (Kirsty), and whilst Daisy never got to perform for the judges, she said her friend "may have got to sing for the judges".

But the way Kirsty was portrayed on TV makes her seem like a spoilt brat who couldn't be bothered waiting her turn.
Yes i think that's what happened.

I'd be livid if i was told i was going to perform and didn't get too.

What about the girl group that she interrupted though? didnt they also have a right to be heard? they just walked out as soon as she appeared, thats the main thing that makes it look staged, no one would give up their slot when they were already standing there ready to sing.

Its all a load of poop really.

They were heard actually, they just didn't air their performance - apparently they didn't make it, which could explain why they didn't show them. The show used manipulative editing to make it look like Kirsty "stole" their slot. It's all in the edit.

Who cares?

It's not like Kirsty is going to win The X Factor. If anything, we'll probably see her on other reality TV shows in 2017. She's fame hungry and different TV producers will milk the cow dry.

It was so staged, as she was mic'd up. I felt sorry for the poor girl group who just walked out when she arrived, but they were probably just stooges, not even a group, as we did not hear them sing a note.

The whole this was terribly set up, usually Simon just gets people removed by security, but this time he let her sing straight away.

Pathetic, do they think we are that stupid?

Oh and she was awful!
I think security should have removed her till it was her turn

A lot of people are questioning whether or not the girl who gatecrashed that group's audition today was staged or not... I'm gonna go with NO and here's why:

http://www.mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-news/x...claims-8206163

^ Daisy Gill another singer who was told by producers they wouldn't have time for her audition. She posted a youtube video (link below) angrily describing her experience, and in that video she said when she barged into the audition room there was another person she knew there who also had decided to go in and "may have got to sing for the judges". I'm guessing that other person was Kirsty Murphy, which would make sense since Daisy auditioned in Manchester which is the same place Kirsty auditioned at.

I'll file this alongside "proof Sharon Osbourne hasn't had plastic surgery".

At first I thought it was real, as her acting was so good, too good for a singer, but changed my mind as this is XF where fixes are well known. So I'd say it's 50/50, and time Simon told us

How do you know she has a mic on? Looks like they're using the boom mic to me
Excellent foresight of them to use it on her from the moment she ran into the room, also managing to pick up the bloke asking her to stop with all the concern of Willy Wonka watching a boy fall into a chocolate river.
