Most scouted acts don't even get past the first producer audition they go to.
'scouted' just means a researcher contacted them, sometimes just by a tweet or youtube comment, and asked them to apply.
they do it to 1000s of acts, they send open emails to stage schools asking their students to apply, etc.
People act as if being scouted means something special and it's all a fix when it's not at all.
It's so general, you might as well also say those that auditioned after seeing the TV advert for applications were also scouted.
