EastEnders hate the new producer
Does anyone else hate the new producer, he is getting rid of too many characters, and in some cases the wrong ones. Yet he hasn't bought back anyone apart from Ryan for a "few episodes" I can see a massive decline in EastEnders with people switching of, he hasn't even done an interview, and I think he is worse then BK an LN

No I don't hate him, I don't know him and he's not done anything to me personally.
At the end of the day he's just doing his job and he must have reasons for doing this even if they're not abundantly clear. It's just a waiting game at the moment to see if these axings actually hel the show. |

He was Matthew Robinson's shadow in the 90s/early 00s and it clearly shows but this also means he is going to be very good imho.
Since 2009 EastEnders has become more and more sensationalist with has damaged the very core of the show. Added with the rewriting of history that DTC has done the show has been butchered in a big way and I think some don't understand just how much damage has been caused. SOC is cleaning out all the characters who need to go. I'm sad to lose Ronnie and Roxy but they probably signal the point when EastEnders became more sensational so its for the best they go too. Everyone other axing is the right call, Lee, Babe, Kyle. He perhaps should have given Pam and Les a second chance but if he feels that he cannot work with them its better to get rid than keep them hanging on doing nothing. |

Loving what SOC is doing personally. EE needs a good clean out in front of and behind the camera and apart from maybe Les and Pam I wont miss any of the characters announced to be leaving. I hope Donna, Vincent, Tina are next and also really hope Alex Lamb is also going.

All his axings are the right decision. Obviously the shocker was Ronnie and Roxy but this proves he is brave and not scared to take risks. I think by Christmas we will start to see the return of kitchen sink EastEnders. For the past decade the show has been too influenced by Dominic Treadwell Collins and his fan fiction fantasy version of EastEnders which has seen characters buried alive, a baby swap, two returns from the dead and the final nail in the coffin - rewriting all of Sharon, Angie and Den's back story.
The programme needs a clean break and a brand new fresh start to recover. |

How can i hate someone who i don't know? What an awful word to use for someone just doing his job and not appealing to your own personal needs.

He's just come from The Archers where they have done the biggest storyline in years, which has attracted a lot of publicity.
He previously worked on EastEnders as Series Story Producer and was responsible for the Kat and Zoe story, and Little Mo's domestic abuse, so there is every reason to be hopeful that he will have a successful stint as producer! We just have to be patient as the show is going through a transitional stage at the moment. |

Hate is a strong word but I think we need to give him a few months before we can officially judge him.
I'm feeling very positive about his new era and I heard raving reviews about his time in the Archers especially the Helen/Rob storyline and I think he has some brilliant storylines coming up. Axing some characters is unfortunate but it paves the way for some new exciting characters. |

Not at all, his doing the job his paid for, EE has become stagnant and too comfortable with that state under DTC and his sidekicks.
Every EP axes characters, although his bloodbath is particularly ferocious it's needed. |

He's axing all the characters people on here have been moaning about for years. I'm pleased they're going.

I don't hate him at all, these axings were needed. Ever since 2010 (apart from 2014) EE has been getting more and more stale and sensationalist, SOC is giving it a shakeup. The only characters I think he made a mistake with were the Cokers. It sounds like Annette Badland left of her own accord. Also we can't really judge him until we properly see his work in early October probably. But considering he worked on EE when it (in my opinion) reached the height of its popularity back in the late nineties/early noughties, it does make me feel confident about his era.

No I don't hate him. The cast has needed a cull for ages. Just because it's only been exits announced so far there will obviously be some casting and storyline announcements soon.

I'll miss Claudette and Babe in truth, but it was DTC that ruined Claudette by making her a murderer for no real reason. The show needs a big shake-up, SOC is giving it just that. I'm sure they're devising new, fresh and more realistic characters played by really interesting actors to replace the ones who are leaving. |

There are some very good Actors out there and Sean has some prety good connections within the Industry I think- so exciting times ahead. |
