The best bit was Martin's face when Sonia said he was right. He was clearly thinking 'leave me out of this, please leave me out of this!'

Sonia presenting them with an an invoice would be magnificent.

Can only echo others comments - she was on fire tonight, saying what I have been thinking about the situation for weeks, and it's a shame that Shirley was the only one to get it (who has at least been honest about hating Sylvie and not wanting to help but still doing it some of the time) as In some ways i think Mick has been worse as he just didges it whilst not coming straight out telling Tina that he doesn't want him, or Londa involved. Not even to just have Sylvie sitting at the Vic and has been loathsome about Sonia.

Sylvie would probably get Rabies if she bit Shirley.

But yep, good on Sonia. That was Carol's daughter right enough.

Maybe they could hire Morgana Robinson as Sonia's doppelganger

I'm scared to open that because I know exactly what it will be and I'll end up laughing so loud I'll wake everyone up!

I feel that was some of the new regime coming out in that speech.

Other than telling Pauline off in 2006 this was probably my favourite moment of hers.

It was a brilliant scene

In some ways it reminded me of Cora's rant that she had when Stan died. Poor Cora was told last that Stan died. In fact, she had no idea he died until she went to visit him the next morning and was told by a nurse he had died. And she had a brilliant rant about how at the end of the day "it's always about the carters" because deep down, they are a nasty and very selfish family.

Sonia went in on Shirley! "I hope she bites ya!" was a brilliant "mic drop" moment!

Yeah I agree. Shirley was completely out of order

It was a great moment which could have been improved by Sonia whipping her trumpet out at the end and doing a quick fanfare.

But if she comes back from Maternity Leave, her perfect life isn't going to last that long.

She is going to have to go from Working in a Prvate Hospital, to working at Walford General again.

Imagine being a private patient and being treated by Sonia, you would run a mile

I know Sonia tends to be a Marmite character in EastEnders but that was a great scene.

If/when Natalie Cassidy returns to Walford I'd like to see that side of her more often.

Like many of you, I also wish she'd said it in a crowded Queen Vic with all the Carter's present. Picture it... Linda scowling and huffing, Mick with his arms crossed and mouth open, Tina crying into her spaghetti hoops... Sonia's "I hope she bites you" line really had me laughing - and was also a great way of demonstrating the crap she's had to put up with.

I'm not a fan of Sonia, but she has her moments

The writers have done a great job of helping the audience like Sonia. It's always good to see characters get their comeuppance. Not many characters stand up to Shirley.

The whole scene was wonderful.

From Sonia giving Shirley some home truths to Martin's silent pleas to be left well out of it to Denise treating the whole thing as entertainment (shushing Honey and saying "As you were.")

I loved Sonia last night, if this is the start of the new EP then I think he will return her character back to her best. Wasn't SOC the guy who storylined most of her and Jamie's stuff and the surprise pregnancy? maybe he has a connection to the character.

Go Sonia - but why didn't she mention how Tina just moved Sylvie in without consulting Sonia. She just accepted it without question, even though it was patently obvious that she'd be doing all the work.

Sonia has always been a brilliant character. She was the show's tragic heroine in the early 00's. But DTC ruined her. He turned her into a nag, a thief and just a horrible piece of work. But once Natalie announced her pregnancy. they decided to start making Sonia likeable. She went through the process of maybe losing her breasts. They had Tina cheat on her. They made Sonia be used as a carer for both Sylvie and the childish idiot Tina. Suddenly myself and I think a few others really started to feel sorry for Sonia. And in recent weeks, she's been superb. Finally giving Tina the push. And telling the carters to go forth and multiply.
