EE - used the word "rent" tonight
Tina being unable to pay on her own. So what's going to happen to the house? Janine returns, or let it out to a new family. Rent in the area should go down - half the flats/houses will be empty by February.

just tried to find a 4-bedroom terraced house - in Stratford - on zoopla - rent absolutely min 2100/pcm - and average more like 2600/month - didn't check distance to tube station - but Janine's house is just steps away from Walford tube station.

They were on the verge of having to go to debtor's prison a month or so ago when living for free at their current place came to an end.

There's no way Sonia and Tina have been paying that sort of rent or Carol before them. |

I almost choked on my tea when Lee utter a rare line of reality for EE real estate, 'I'll never be able to afford that on my wages'

I foresee nobody bothering to mention who's living there. Janine probably thinks Bianca still there with her brood. Then once day she'll return, find out who's living in her house and swoop in to evict. All the dramas. |

then they don't have the usual problems in Walford: never problems with mortgage or getting one, huge waiting list for flat - there's always one going somewhere - or a room - think of the house where Sonia and Tina lives - endless number of rooms in it - always a job at the garage / cafe / restaurant / minimart. Your washing machine don't keep breaking down, coz you haven't got one. Never hear them moan about tube strikes- and consequently late home from WORK, or arrive late at WORK, or it being closed at weekends for planned maintenance work. And all of them can afford to get a cab to Heathrow, flying out on a ticket bought same day or the previous day (at what price !). Parking fines - what's that? And who can afford to do all the shopping at the minimart ? surely there must be a large supermarked somewhere - but never see (saw) them return with loads of orange Sainsburys bags. And who in their right mind would go into the Vic and buy a bottle of wine or whatever - even the minimart would probably be cheaper. And - just goes to show they're not skint: breakfast at the cafe. And schools - new kids start at a nearby school just like that.
BUT I STILL LOVE THEM |

BUT I STILL LOVE THEM and one thing that never ceases to amaze me: new arrivals, arrive with / and leave with barely a suitcase, all while there's no shortage of clothes and stuff during their e.g. 6-month stint in EE. Remember Courtney a few episodes ago - she just left on the tube with Grant. As far as I know, she had a flat/room somewhere - did she have her passport on her? and .. crickey, they got the tube to the airport - that must be a first off. |
