Does tv have a low opinion of the role of the Secretary of Housing and Urban Developments?

BTW, this is the second year running that a major new series on ABC has events around a major 'terrorist' incident. Quantico and now this.

Says something about the direction they're taking.
Well that post is fairly low down in the Presidential line of succession

This is the current holder:

I suppose the closest equivalent in the British Cabinet is Sajid Javid, the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Development

yeah I'm in too...loads of other pilots to check out though will have to whittle some down
I'm sure, once all/most of the pilots have aired, someone will do a US Pilot Opinion thread, where we can ... methinks the thread title explains it perfectly -
May have it as a simple
(A) wow - awesome, I'm in, one of the best
(B) yay - good, I'm in
(C) meh - not great but I'll stick around for a few more eps.
(D) nope - not for me aka kaka.
With the understanding that since we're judging the series on a single ep our opinions could most likely change.

Think a lot of the pilots I was going to look at are set for 2017 which gives me a chance to catch a few that were not on my radar.

To be honest I didn't know there were any pilots coming out in 2017.
All I have on my to-check-out list are:

Hooten & The Lady: 1x01 - ok, The Good Place: 1x01 - ok
Bull: 1x01 - meh, Lethal Weapon: 1x01 - ok
Designated Survivor: 1x01 - awesome

and to come Pitch: 1x01, Notorious: 1x01, MacGyver: 1x01, The Exorcist: 1x01

One thing is different - annoying son rather than annoying daughter.

I found both of the kids to be annoying and straight out of Central Casting - cute, precocious young daughter and off the rails teenage son. Hopefully we won't be seeing too much of them of it does look like they will be pushing the family drama angle.

1. The wife did it. She was that furious to leave DC, now she ain't! Happy days!
2. They bombed Congress. Kinda hard to weep for the loss (some would say).
3. Why does every writer think teens are just a generation of rebels w/o a cause?
4. Maggie Q's in it. Not watched her since Nikita. Good to see
5. I knew Kirkland was going to lose the 50s horn-rimmed glasses at some point. I mean, c'mon. Sutherland acting as some kind of mousey bookish academic? Yeah, right!
6. As if every terror movie made before 9/11 wasn't enough, it amazes me how tv/movie creatives continue to give real life terrorists ideas.

In truth, it's hard to make a fair and constructive critique on the pilot alone. There wasn't anything in it that made it awful, but I enjoyed it. I think what might make it an interesting drama for me is watching how Keifer's character develops being totally thrown at the deep end and moulding himself into his own man. They will need to flesh out his wife's character though, because just on the pilot alone she is a bit "so bland, so generic" at the moment. As for the kids, as Lost Fool has already said, cutesy milk teeth-losing teddy bear clutching blonde kid; chip-on-their-shoulder stroppy, dopey long-haired teen: nothing new coming out of the kiddy gene pool, I take it. President's chief-of-staff and Kirkland's urban aide will be getting it on soon enough.

I still believe the pilot episode of 7 Days gave the terrorists the idea for 9/11,
